Not that I really wanna see this, but I remember that there were some rumers about this? Does anyone know anything about this?

I hope MGM forgets all about this. I mean why make a movie like that? There's no reason to.

Hopefully the screenwriter was killed in a fiery auto accident and MGM was too bereft with grief to give the project to anyone else. Let's face it, this premise had all the makings to be the next RINGMASTER, and we all know how that movie turned out...

Yes i mean come on! Why tease us with a bad movie and only put a tame amount of nudity in it! Ringmaster exactly. If you wanna make a cheap "slut" type film, it better be some type of p0rn cause thats really the only purpose they serve and who wants to see their porn watered down. Its the truth!

I actually wouldn't mind a fun GIRLS GONE WILD movie with hot chicks in it. Who cares people!? If you don't want to see it you don't have to, but most likely it will do decent business at the Box Office regardless. It's pretty dumb how some people get so worked up about this movie getting made. There's good movies and shitty movies being made every day and that's the way it always will be. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

It would be smarter for them to spend money on a GIRLS GONE WILD movie instead of another bomb like Hart's War or Rollerball...

At least Hart's War meant something more than "COME ON IN! IT IS THE ULTIMATE STUPID MOVIE!".

True. I actually liked Hart's War but Girls Gone Wild is just waiting to be a disaster. Unfortunately, like Jackass: The Movie, it will probably be a huge hit.

As long as Girls Gone Wild will be directed by David Fincher , then I'M ALL FOR IT BABY! :D

didint the MGM get sued by someone bacause the Video had underage girls in it?

Either way, Girls Gone Wild is pretty stupid, even "Doggiestyle" sucked

I agree "Harts War" had a good message. It's a shame they turn to a low class "Girls Gone Wild" movie.

Hart's War was a very good film, but that's beside the point. A Girls Gone Wild film is an exercise in pointless, useless crap moviemaking. Just go get one of the real videos if you're that horny!

I hope MGM has woken up and forgotten about this.

a girls gone wild film would likely turn into soemthing in the likes of coyote ugly and shit...just all about the girl power having fun and such, thats all good and gravy if your a girl, but like coyote ugly,i would likely find this to be horrible if it follows in that type of footsteps,or it could go in its own and turn into a horny man watching movie, something teens would see to get a little happy...either way,i dont want to see this.

That would be great, I'd love it if it turned into a movie like Coyote Ugly. I loved that movie, it was a blast. I saw Coyote Ugly 3 times in theaters and a ton of times on video. I even bought the soundtrack. I don't care what anyone says, Coyote Ugly might not have been too original, but it is one of my personal favorites of 2000 and of all time.

And it doesn't matter if Hart's War had a message, it's all about the money! It makes more sense to make a "pointless" but fun movie that makes money instead of a movie with a message that is a big flop. If I was in the business I'd rather come out ahead.

Girs Gone Wild would bomb also. Only a few horny men would see it. It does not have MASS appeal.

Thing is, Windtalkers, Harts War, and Rollerball all bombed. MGM's only getting back to its feet now with the success of Die Another Day, and a GGW movie could be very low budget and wouldn't suffer too much if it flopped. Right now, if they haven't been sued, some guy's probably writing the script, with what little material they have

Actually, with a small budget it wouldn't be as big of a bomb as Hart's War, Rollerball, etc... They want to make it with a PG-13 rating and believe it or not, teens would see it. There's no doubt that it would come out ahead. I'm sure MGM would rather make some money instead of making another big budget bomb that would put them farther in the hole.

I think even teens appreciate the slightest inkling of a that crazy old movie ideal: a story.

I know, that's why they are going to give it a story. It's not even going to be like the videos, just loosely based on them.

Ugh...what is it about this whole thing that reminds me of the movie School of Hard Knockers that Homer watched before going back to college on The Simpsons?

I usually have a high tolerance for people and for movie studios, I say that the studios should be allowed to make whatever they want and the people should be allowed to like whatever they want in terms of film. I know I do. But this movie is crossing the line. Any movie based on the Girls Gone Wild videos already has problems! I don't care if they put Meryl Streep and Al Pacino in it, have Paul Schrader and Quentin Tarantino write it and get Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg to direct it, it's still at a disadvantage because they couldn't find anything to base it on other than Girls Gone Wild. Herein lies a major, major problem! And people wonder why Hollywood sucks so much lately, it's greed! MGM needs money, I respect that and certainly understand that. But they can make an inexpensive film that has some quality and originality behind it, something other than this. Every other studio figures out a way...

Yeah, but something original just doesn't say "big B.O. hit." This is more mainstream and would be a way to make some easy money. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If people do not want to see it they don't have to, they can stick to stuff like Adaptation.

fact is GGW has made some people out there VERY VERY VERY rich.

morals aside, I think if done right could be a a pretty good hit. it wouldnt cost a thing to make..im talking a mill or two if that...and it would no doubt rake in at leat 6 mill the first weekend and that seems low...

but it all depends on what kind of film they make...

would they do a 2 hour version of there regular movies? if they did it would be unrated or NC17..which couldnt work...

would they go the route of Ringmaster? well that didnt work either...

I can see a better version of the Bare Wench Project..you know..less fake and more real...but thats just the man in me speaking.

also, how would a private video play on the big screen? Im sure the sicko's out there would have no problem going but I couldnt make myself go up to the window and say "two adults for Girls Gone Wild"

now when it its rentals or Kazaa..thats a different story....:) :) :)

well...if you ask me,since i want to be a writer oh so badly hehe,if i were to be asked by officials of a movie company,MGM this time..."Cory,we need you to come up with ideas for a girls gone wild"....if you ask me,my answer would be to not involve the regular real movies...and i would really wind up trying to do a coyote ugly type film, but with more personality and all...like just as the titles say, girls gone wild,a few girlfriends go out to spring break and such,do some guys, get some drinks in their system and all that, bad things as well as good things happen (ex: daterape, arrested, etc) and they learn how to cope and deal and all and help each other and show who the true friends are and how they stick out from the rest at spring break....i know i know,it sounds like coyote ugly meets crossroads, but i just cant think of anything really, and im not in charge of it lol,and i just would want anything rather a big screen porno...if it got into theaters besides adult theaters i would demand it had a story to go around.
