I watched this today and really loved it. It was cheesy and fun, and the charecters were pretty cool.

Anyone else out there a fan or hater?

My only complaint was that they did not use the girl in it enough

I'm half and half with this flick. On one hand, it's a gory and fun romp, on the other hand it has a aura of shittiness to it. The acting was horrible, the direction flat but I enjoyed it none the less. Great gore (exploding head, ripped out heart, slit throat, blown out stomach etc.) and lots of T&A.

For the most part I liked the movie although it was pretty stupid. The one guy had cool sideburns though. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Okay, I do not like THE FORSAKEN for the mere fact that it took the plots and characters from THE HITCHER and NEAR DARK, and stuck unecessary nudity in it.
Gore is understandable, since it is a vamp flick, but I like my Mid West vampire movies with bite and wit from the actors.

No one rips off Eric Red without incurring my wraith.

Besides, John carpenter did it better with VAMPIRES, and that was pertty mediocre for a great director.

See, that's what's strange about me, I LOVE John Carpenter's Vampires but find The Forsaken to be entertaining but fairly shitty. Yes, nudity isn't needed but in The Forsaken it keeps the male audience watching since the plot is so tepid.
Anyways, I own both The Forsaken and Vampires and enjoy watching them both on rainy nights.

The wife and I rented this a few months back.

Just barely managed to make it to the end of the "film".

A couple decent scenes does not a good vampire film make.

More like "Foreskin" than Forsaken.

The Forsaken was an ok vampire film but it did'nt deliver what it promised. what I mean is all the articles I read about this film said it was to be a very original and unique vampire movie.
when I finally saw It, I was dissapointed.
All this film turned out to be was The lost boys in a country/desert setting.

Its more like LOST BOYS/THE HITCHER/NEAR DARK/VAMPIRES.

Thats how many things FORSAKEN rips off!

Watch any of the movies I mention and you'll see the similarity.

I have one question: Who let Jonanthon Shaech enter the acting community? Same with Simon Rex.
Leave the pretty boy vamps to Kiefer and Jason!

I hated the movie because all it did is rip-off The Lost Boys for a new generation. Miko was hot though.
