Are you sure its not the short lived movie Review that aired on ABC, after the commercial success of Halloween 4..

DONALD PLEASENCE AT THE MOVIES

I remember it quite vividly(despite my being about two years old when the movie came out.....), he'd rate movies based on how evil they were.

Movies that were perticularly Evil (like..oh...I dont know....Haloween), would give Donny just cause to jump up and warn his audience about its pending Eeeevil--ness.. " I beseech thee!! Stay Away From this Movie," he'd scream. Throwing bags of popcorn around..

Movies that were just somewhat evil were deemed watchable by Donny. Like Cocoon. That was only a teensy bit evil.

It's TERROR IN THE AISLES. Donald's co-host was the delicious Nancy Allen, she of the infamous and unforgettable "office mind-f*ck sequence" in DePalma's DRESSED TO KILL...

And as this is my first post here, a hearty hello to you all!

yup Terror in The Aisles...I think I saw it on the slate for a DVD release too..I love Donald Pleasance explaining dryly about Leatherface's penchant for dressing in women's skin....

btw, a big welcome Harld Shand

Believe it or not I actually saw Terror in the Aisles at the theater when it was released! That and It Came From Hollywood are the only 2 horror documentaries that I can remember playing with wide releases.

Thanks for the welcome mat and the heads up! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif Actually, TERROR IN THE AISLES is a bit of a favourite of mine. I'm a sucker for compilation stuff (re-read "best of" stuff). That way it's easier to see all of one's favourite horror moments without having to change the tape or disc ad nauseum... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Oh, shit! Apologies to one and all for this double posting bit. It's been awhile since I
posted to a proper forum so I've sort of forgotten the right buttons to press, so to speak...

What the hell...I'm beginning to get the hang of things again! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif
