Did anyone else like this movie? Sometimes I think I'm the only one. It's never mentioned here. I rented this one a few years ago and watched it by myself at night. The beginning with all the religous stuff creeped me out. There were also little creepy touches throughout the movie that didn't really make much sense, but I liked them anyway. Like the dirty little girl on the hill with the stick, and the woman that suddenly turns into a bleeding baby doll. Also, the dream that the main character has about his grandmother, in which he is naked at a gas station, is pretty odd. The characters in this are not that great, the usual stereotypes. And the plot is pretty ridiculous, too, but I enjoy this movie anyway. What are all your thoughts on it?

I thought it did have potential but wound up being just a evil dead clone. The images the director used were cool but the ending was awful.

I was gonna buy this a few days ago....the cover looked pretty neat, but I have no doubt that I wouldn't have enjoyed the movie....so I bought American Psycho instead: which was a safe bet. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I saw it when I was 13 and it scared the hell out of me. All i can remember now is that one of the guys stranded in the shack was into karate or something, at one point he made a Van Damme-style scissor kick over the zombie and knocked his head off. The only similarity to Evil Dead is the way the evil is unleashed--through an incantation. The whole zombie siege element triggers overlaps between this movie and Night of The Living Dead. I wouldn't call it a ripoff though--Demon Wind stands well on its own two feet. The ending was a little redundant, especially the annoying spellbook sequence before the final showdown. Otherwise, it was okay.

I saw this movie years ago - I thought it was okay.
If I`m not mistaken, isn`t there like 20 characters that drive up in cars to some creepy old house just because the main guy has a dream about it or something?
And isn`t one of the characters a gay-ass magician?

Yeah, one of them is a gay magician.
