Well, what will they be like? As much as it pains me to say it...Michael, Jason and Freddy arent going to be around forever. In 50 years, will we see repeats of old movies? Will it just continue to cycle and cycle? I mean, you can only go for so long and have that idea been done before. So what will happen in 5 years? 50 years? 500 years? It just makes my head hurt thinking about it. So, how do you vision the future of horror?

you are right, the killer three some won be kickin' it any more. All the horror movies of the future i am guessing will turn into more of a sci fi and will refer back to old earth like in Jason X.

Out dont know. This is just my two cents.

Well, it just makes you wonder really. When someone out there in the real world comes up with a new face for horror (new horror icon) would the world grow to love them as much as Freddy or Michael Myers? Thats the one thing I guess we should all be thinking about, but right now theres this new Tooth Fairy that just might appear in the ranks of horror icons. We shall see I suppose, we shall see.

The scarey thing is that these horrible things we are saying is right. Michael, Jason and Freddy can't live forever. As a horror fan these guys will always be my favourite. I don't think i will accewpt anybody else even if there are new horror icons. Thats just me i'm stubbon and don't like change.

Freddy, Jason, and Mike will always be around, just like Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Creature, the Mummy, and the Wolfman are still around. Frankly, I'm looking forward to seeing what new and original visions the genre will offer in the decades to come, that can then be recycled and sequelized to death. ;)
