I saw the two films sitting in the horror section of my local Blockbuster and was wondering are they any good? Worth a rental?
Also, the same goes for the two Jack Frost films. The covers for these movie series are awfully similar with their 3-D effect.

Both Killjoys are garbage. And the original Jack Frost is cool while the second is trash.

3D effect or hologram= Shit film.
Well most of the time anyway, this is usually used as a gimmick to get average people to rent bad films.
I have only seen one of the 4 films in question and that is the first Killjoy, which was funny on a so bad its good level.

I believe the horror film Uncle Sam has the 3-D cover also and that film is really cheesy.

Yeah, holograhic covers are VERY misleading. Jack Frost is a semi-enjoyable b-movie romp, but avoid the sequel at all costs. Jesus, I'd rather suck Rue McClanahan's toes than ever watch that film again. Sorry about that visual.

I've seen a couple movies with gimmicky boxes that were good, Frighteners, City of the Lost Children, but that's all I can think of.
Anyway, I can get both Killjoy movies on dvd for $5 for both of them together and I won't buy them. But I can't say I've see them. So I can't recommend them, or say anything against them.

LOL! I'll never look at Bea Arthur the same again! The next time I watch The Golden Girls, I'll have visions of Dorothy wearing S&M gear!

I used to work in the Blockbuster Video store in the town I live in. The amount of times I saw people drawn to a movie because of the gimmick of a holographic cover frustrated the hell out of me. It kinda went like this.
"Hey, cool cover!!!" Kid 1
"Yeah..." Kid 2
"I heard this movie was really cool!!!" Kid 1
"Yeah?" Kid 2
"Yeah..." Kid 1
Both kids would look in my direction waving the case at me.
"Is this good?" Kid 1 or 2
"No...it's shit." Me
"Oh."
Their expression would then turn from looks of wonder at the shiny new thing they held in their hands to crushing disappointment and the cover would be placed back on the shelf. It was probably against store policy to tell customers that a movie was shit but I couldn't bring myself to recommend either of the Killjoy or Jack Frost movies or any other movie with a gimmicky cover.

jack frost is pretty good cheesy fun. some weird scenes and jacks one liners get really annoying oh and dont get me started on that damn kid i hated him so much.
jack frost 2 is just 2 dumb for its own good. a snowman on a tropical island. its ok if ur drunk and watching for a laugh but thats about it.

Speaking of which, I watched Shadowbuilder not too long ago, if you like serious low budget flicks, you will probably be okay with this one.
I personally think that SoulKeeper had an okay box, but the movie kicks ass! Monsters, naked ladies, passion fruit, and some priceless one liners made that movie one of my favorites!
