My friend and I were pretty trashed, and talking about a clip I submitted to Project Greenlight. Some of the people who reviewed my scene were pretty harsh (calling it "stupid"), and I was focusing on those reviews, and my friend was pointing out that I had some great reviews and need'ent focus on only the bad.

Anyway, I thought of you guys, and that you may get a kick out of the joke I made of the whole thing. Like I said, we were pretty trashed, so I'll have to paraphrase, and assume that it's actually funny.....

ME: I guess "stupid" isn't necessarily bad.

FRIEND: No, it's not. And what about the one review that gave you all "excellents"?

ME: Maybe that person is stupid.

FRIEND: Yeah, or maybe you just reached that person. If you can reach one person it should be worth it.

ME: Good point. I just don't want to keep doing this only to find out I'm a hack.

FRIEND: That shouldn't stop you. I know you've seen Ed Wood. Shouldn't that show you that it doesn't matter how good you are.

ME: Yeah! You're right! If someone like Tim Burton can make a movie, why can't I?

FRIEND: Wha-- Oh. Haha.

like I said, we were pretty trashed....

Hehehe, that's a pretty good burn on Tim Burton, for being trashed. And I'm sure you're not one of the bad hacks...

don't want anyone to think I really bash Burton. it was just too good a set-up for me to pass on.
