For the most part i think arrow hit the nail right on the head with this years top 10 but i have some disagreements.
-Resident Evil should not have been on.
-The Ring, should have been on and in the top 5.
-Blade 2 should be in the top 5.
-Signs should be moved down a little.
Besides that its a great list and lets hope for a good year in 2003!

well...this is HIS opinion...so there will be alot of people who agree and disagree with it.
BUT, my disagreements would be...THE RING shouldve been in it. JASON X shouldve been delted from it.
But like I said....these are his opinions.

Arrow may have a little better judgment on the movies than we do, im sure he examines them and can really decide which is which. My hats off to you Arrow.

Butch, he has no better an opinion then anyone else. Everyone's opinion is valid. I study films as well and I don't agree with some of his choices, but does that make them wrong? Hell no, Arrow chooses his own top 10 and does a great job at it too. Even though Arrow runs this part of the site doesn't mean he's more right then the rest of us, we are all equals in terms of opinions.
That's not an insult to Arrow, it's just reality. Arrow knows I have complete respect for him and his reviews...and his body.

No Man, I totally agree with you on that one. I just ment that Arrow has his own website, his website reviews horror movies. He is a critic, and he may have a little more expierence with horror movies thatn the average schmoe.
Everyone is entitled to there own opinion of course, i agree with you 110% but, I am saying that if someone sits down and watches a movie and doesnt like, they dont examine the movie at full length as arrow does. He goes through the acting, the directing, the gore, and of course the T&A :)
I just feel that Arrow may have a better opinion on some movies than others thats all, I wasnt trying tooffend anyone by saying Aroows opinion was higher than anyone elses.

Cool man, I was just saying that being a critic myself, I took offense, but no harm no foul. Sorry about that.

Even though the top three are solid as a rock and I haven't seen a few (May, My Little Eye). I was just checking those against the one's of 2001 and those top three don't even touch any of the top five of 2001.
I liked Donnie Darko better than Signs. Resident evil was way too high and I thought Dog Soldiers should of been higher. The Devil's Backbone was better than Jason x. But looking at it twice it is a pretty good list and everything on it is worth being on it and worth seeing at least once(that I've seen of course). Good job arrow.
Who knows, maybe we will have a top 5 like 2001 in 2003(House of 1000 corpses & Samhain are coming, along with a cople other ones that look good). We shall see. :D
Now lets all just be honest, Teenage Caveman should have been in the top three, but whatever.

I agree with most of it except take off Jason X and Resident Evil and most definitely add The Ring into the Top 10 of '02.

I have to say that my list would probably me very similar to Arrow's. I loved all from the list that I've seen. I haven't seen Signs yet and I can't wait for May. Frailty was indeed the best horror movie of the year.

i liked that fact that FRAILTY beat out SIGNS. FRAILTY in my opinion was a much better film. i think SIGNS was too commercial but i still enjoyed it.

I think Jason-X should have been higher and Resident Evil should be off. HE PICKED A GOOD MISTRESS OF '02 THOUGH! LOOK AT THAT ASS! :)

I feel that:
- Resident Evil shouldn't have been on it. I thought this movie was too long and boring for my likings.
-The Ring should'ev been on. I loved this movie.
That is really the only things I think should'ev been changed
Peace
