I just watched Society and was very confused at the end. Was that the boy's real parents? Who were the rich people, aliens? Please explain the ending to me.

He wasnt there real son he was adopted. The message in my opionon was, that the director was trying to make was do we really know what goes on behind closed doors in differnt societies. Its hard to explain, maybe us common folks do not really know what goes on in high soceity, somethin like that. Tuff question

Well I read the film as being about madness. Either the kid is right and his folks are aliens or it's all in his head. The end could be saying that a) Upbeat/but unlikely: He escapes his alien folks and gets away or b) Depressing/but realistic: That he has lost a grip on reality and has finally sunk into total insanity. I think this film is really smart for leaving this open as it deals cleverly with themes of schizophrenia and paranoia.
