This is from www.dvdfile.com :

Sibling rivalry - 12:00am

While it didn't exactly ignite the box office as expected given the star power involved, Warner will give the thriller White Oleander a second chance on DVD with a new feature-laden special edition due on March 11th. Available in separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions, each includes English and French 5.1 Dolby surround tracks, audio commentary with the filmmakers (participants TBA), 2 making-of featurettes, trailers, and ROM extras. Retail is $27.95.

I didn't see this in theaters but I thought it looked really good. I'll check it out for sure on video. If I like it as much as I think I might then I'll probably buy it.

I might rent it. It does have OK features for tanking at the Box-Office...

I suppose they wanted to put a solid DVD together hoping to give it new life once it hits video. Besides, I'm sure it will do much better on video, especially with that cast and the fact that not too many people saw it in theaters. Hell, even "Say It Isn't So" got a Special Edition DVD, it seems like everything gets one nowadays. Half of them aren't even too "special," but I guess you can put Special Edition on your DVD even without any special features (Santa Clause anyone!?).

This movie/dvd does not intrest me one bit. It has a couple bad actors and it did horrible at the box-office (not saying the box-office has anything to do with it becuase I never judge my movies by money). But overall it doesn't turn my crank!

And who would those alleged bad actors be? All I see is one damn fine looking cast.

The script and source material were great, the acting was terrific, and the score is also great, but the film just didn't work for me. I see it mainly as bad directing, but I think it's just one of those thigns that shouldn't be turned into film.

5/10

I would suggest this as a rental only, if that. Read the book instead!

Yeah, I have to agree. I don't think the movie looks great but the actors sure are.
