Just saw this one last night and dam did it scare the bejesus out of me. It had John Carridine, Mary Woronov(sic), and Patric O'Neil in it. The movie felt a lot like a cross between Black Christmas and Don't Look Now but was done before both and with an even smaller budget. It was about a old house with a dark past, that we hear about thoughout the movie, where a maniac starts telephoning the townsfolk to come to the house to kill them. The ending is one of those things that is very hard to forget and the house reminded me of the soroity house in BC. The tape I had had a lot of grain in it and you couldn't really see what was going on in the dark but dam was it cool:***. Anybody else see this one?

Hans, I am a happy guy !! I see I am not the only guy who saw this great, atmospheric movie !!!
I love this movie !!! it is really creepy !!!
The phone - calls from the killer are impressive because he is never angry, he remains calm, that is more impressive I think.
The film is really stylish and reminds me the beginning of HOHH, I mean the madmen who escape from the asylum ( well I think they were freed )
Go to hysteria, there is a review of it !!!

I bought this DVD a week ago called "Evil Places". It had 4 horror DVD's which included: 'Don't Look in the Basement', 'Silent Night, Bloody Night', 'Satan's School for Girls', and 'House on Haunted Hill' (58'). I just started watching Silent Night, and it's pretty good so far!

I got the same thing Llindsey bought a week ago. I watched HOHH original last night, and sorry, but i was dissapointed. Price was great though. With some spooky moments. Crappy house though. On the outside i mean! And just watched a scene from BLOODY NIGHT with the killer attacking a dog. This one looks promising! But one thing that ticked me off was that the films were not restored. Grain galore! Anyway,I give the anthology so far,a 6/10

I thought "Silent Night Bloody Night" was ok, but beware the DVD has horrible sound and picture quality.
If it's only $3.99, then go ahead and buy it. Its worth at least one viewing.

I have the DVD as well. DVD quality sucks total monkey nuts, but I kind of dig the film. It's cheap and its dated and it has shit sound quality, but damn it...that flashback sequence is creepy as fuck. Especially that freaky looking dark haired dude. It's the type of film that I would like to see remade.

I first saw this movie when I was about 11 or 12 that was 20 years ago and I loved every minute of it. I'm glad others are now discovering it. I have heard that the reason the quality is bad on all versions is because the negative is hiding somewhere unknown or it could be gone forever.
