don't forget that she plays dawn on buffy. she's an ok actress. but i like her on buffy cause, well, i like everyone on buffy!

I thought she was pretty good in Harriet The Spy and shes ok in Buffy. I've seen better actresses and worse.

hate to be the grinch, but i find her 'talent' is (to say it nicely) questionable if existent... but it's not just that, her whole face is just... annoying. her nose is all pigish and rounded and her eyes are too big... kind of like a haley-joel osment equivelant. not a plus in my book.

Little Michelle Trachtenberg from Pete and Pete is all grownsed up...and just as annoying. I find her acting to be rather uninspired and typical of a Nickelodeon prodigy-child. Sorry to those who like her, but I just cannot see her appeal.

I think MT is very cute and in a couple of years will probably grow into a knockout babe. However, I agree that her acting is very flat and lacking in range. I have a feeling that's why her character Dawn does not get a lot of air time even though if they were going to have an after-Buffy show Dawn would be the obvious choice to take over as slayer. I hear the likelihood of a Buffy-like show continuing after the end of this season is bad so if MT doesn't focus on her acting and make a big push with the time she has left she may find herself without a career.

Quite frankly, that doesn't explain her rather one-dimensional acting ability. And I don't buy for one second that she grew up scrawny and just stayed that way. I'd bet my bottom dollar that she was encouraged to stay rail thin for her career. It is alarming to see what the so-called standard for health and beauty is today. My opinion hasn't changed and it won't, either.

So what? Still doesn't justify the eating comments people are slapping back and forth. I doubt her, or most skinny stars are anorexics or bulimics. Except, maybe Brittany Murphy.

But her acting is decent, especially on Buffy. That show's so cheesy, it's good!

Fair enough, but I never said she was either anorexic or bulemic. However, I think she lacks proper diet and I just don't regard her appearance as healthy. And I've heard the sandwich jokes on several women celebs, because they are alarmingly thin. My point stands. Hollywood's view of pretty can be very distorted. She makes my case.
