Those of you that are die-hard Matrix fans on this forum better get you VCR's ready: Countingdown.com reports that a 30 second T.V spot for The Matrix Reloaded will air with NEW footage during the super-bowl It will be interesting, because the teaser trailer released last year had footage from both Reloaded and Revolutions, so we will see what was from Reloaded in that trailer.

I can't wait! I usually only watch Super-Bowl commercials anyways, so I'm looking forward to it! Right on...!
BTW, before Super-Bowl Sunday I'll stick this thread, so nobody will miss it when it comes time to it!

You can get a look-sy of what this commercial will probably look like by checking out a Japanese version of a commercial from a link right down here (http://www.corona.bc.ca/films/details/matrix2.html). Scroll to the bottom, and select one of the links...
Just noticed there was actually already a thread about that commercial...Still it's rather nice :)

I guess we might be seeing a totally different trailer after all! Got this from matrixfans.net
-
"We have this on good authority, we now know when the Reloaded Teaser will air. Not down to the minute, just the time frame in the game. It's said that the Japanese teaser doesn't even come close to holding a candle to the teaser that we'll be seeing this Sunday night. This is all preceeding the next and perhaps final trailer that we will be seeing in theatres before we witness the Matrix Reloaded in May."

Ok, being in England I will be watching the superbowl on Sky Sports 1 at about1am. Will I still get the Matrix trailer?
If i don't then people won't want to know me.

TheMatrix.com already has the superbowl trailer page up and ready. They have a very short clip saying "Arriving January 26th"
Which is cool cause this means as soon as the trailer shows..... hopefully all they'll have to do is give the greenlight for the trailer online and boom bang.... man this is gonna kick some major ass! Can't wait for the T3 and Hulk one too!

Definatly kickass... the footage was amazing. I love that shot when it's looking down at neo, and you see a 100 Smith's circling around him..... and that intense scene when the motorcycle is zooming by the cars......wow....... sweet indeed

Looked great. That was some amazing action footage, and I loved the bit with Trinity. And who can forget the, this is what I am calling it, "flood of Agent Smiths". This blew the T3 footage away, and is second to only THE HULK.

Wow, that trailer was damn good. Looks like we are going to truly see live anime action unfold on the big screen with this movie. The two movies that have came the closest to displaying anime action was the first Matrix and Blade 2, now we it looks like we are going to finally see it full force.
But although I did love this trailer, the best Superbowl trailer belongs to the Hulk.

Yeah, it definitley blew the T3 preview out of the water, but I also think it was better than the HULK preview. Something didn't click during that preview for me... But THE MATRIX preview was amazing. The effects look awesome and Oscar worthy, and it looks to have a lot of action.

My thoughts on the trailer: pretty awesome stuff. Even though I'm anticipating T3 more, this T.V spot was better than T3's. Looks like I'll be having a fun time at the theatres this summer.

That was awesome! I loved the trailer, I was waiting all day to see it. (Fucking Raiders! Why couldn't they win?)
Anyways, it was my favorite trailer compared to T3 and The Hulk. Now it makes me even more anxious to see it! Woo-Hoo.

A little off-topic, but it feels so frickin' great to have my topic as a sticky!

Well, this thread you created does deserve a sticky.
I was actually thinking about posting a thread a while back, telling ya'll about the Super Bowl Matrix trailer. But of course some super cool Schmoe named Tom (or something?) beat me to it. :p

This is now my most anticipated movie of the year. Any doubts I had are now gone.
The Hulk is number 2, until I see a trailer for The Last Samurai. :D

I thought that the fighting scenes between Neo and the Smiths was all CGI,but it looked incredibly real. Is that the digital cinematography thing or whatever? I really want to know how they did that.

The 100 agent smith battle looks amazing. I can't wait.
It's cool that Neo and several smith's are real and the rest are CGI..

If you pause the trailer at certain points, where they use digital cinematography, just look at the detail.... It's flawless.... it's so real looking.
And how can you say that JoBLo about the trailer!>!?! no way :) i thought the footage was original looking, and definatly looks sweet ass! Better than the new Angels flick, even though i'll prolly go see it neways cause the T&A ;)

WOW!
That was absolutley stunning!!!!!!!!
Now i know what they mean when they say that digital cinimatography can do lightyears more than bullet-time. Did you see how fast (and steady, and swift) the camera moved when Neo was fighting the agents?!?! It was all real too! This will steal the oscars out of everyones hands for 2003!!
Im still in shock :D

In case any of you are wondering the song that plays is "Supermoves" by Overseer.
It's also from Snatch.

Well, with this preview Reloaded and Revolutions have moved ahead of T3 for most anticipated movie of 2003. The fight scene with Neo and the Agent Smith clones is going to be awesome I can tell. I hope that scene is in Reloaded and not Revolutions. I don't want to have to wait until November to see it.

Can someone please link me to where the fudge someone in it's production is talking about all this "digital cinematography"?
I hadn't heard about this. (What's WRONG with me?)

Read this article that came out last month about the sequals from NEWSWEEK. It gives some great info about the movies and has some spoilers (but they tell you when not to read if you don't want to)
Towards the end of the article the FX Supivisor finally gets to talk about his latest invention Digital Cinematography. It's definatly a great read for matrix fans. And the reason why you may not have heard about digital cinematography is b/c it was kept a secret until now.
