thats a real shame. in the extras to battle royal he seems a really cool guy.

It's really a shame he has passed on, but I don't mourn that. He was such a strong individual that instead of withdrawing and trying to possibly find treatment, Fukasaku went on film-making, and died doing so. I respect him greatly for his dedication to his art.


Most people here know of Battle Royale, but that was one of the few movies in that vein that he did. Let's not forget the great movie Tora!Tora!Tora! among others.
