I feel that neither CQ (8/10) or The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (8/10) got the recognition they deserved. What about you guys?

I've gotta say that Pumpkin, Lovely and Amazing, Trapped, and The Mothman Prophecies are some of the most underrated films of the year as far as reviews and box office are concerned.

Add Simone to that list.

From what I've seen, EQUILIBRIUM. It was passed off as a standard Sci-Fi shootout copy of THE MATRIX. And I say...nope!

Frailty: My #1 Movie of 2002

Never really found its audience, and didn't make nearly as much money as it should have.

I didn't have Frailty (8/10) on my list because although the film did not do well at the box office it recieved mostly good reviews. But if it counts then add that on my list. My only reservations with the movie was that I had some problems with the twist at the end but it's a fine film nonetheless and superb directorial debute from Paxton.

I should also add One Hour Photo (8/10). Another superb film that wasn't on my list because that recieved great reviews. I think there is a difference between overlooked and underrated, for me anyway. One Hour Photo and Frailty are overlooked because they failed to make an impact financially. But they recieved mostly good reviews so they are not underrated.

KUNG POW: ENTER THE FIST - Simply put, a stupid, stupid movie that's very, very funny.

JACKASS: THE MOVIE - See above.

SIMONE - A sweet, entertaining Hollywood satire.

THE RULES OF ATTRACTION - A great sort of anti-romance most just took one look at and said "Oh, it's so hateful" without friggin' thinking about it.

CHANGING LANES never got the respect it deserved. It was one of the best movies of 2002, if not one of the best of all time.

The Rules of Attraction-A really good anti-teen movie with a very different Van Der Beek and Somerhalder playing a very convincing gay sexual predator.

S1mone-A very underrated comedy featuring Al Pacino (!) that failed to ignite any BO mula :(
