The following have been nominated by the PGA for Producer of the Year. The nominees (and eventual winner) here prove often to be an accurate Best Picture predictor:

ADAPTATION (COLUMBIA/SONY PICTURES ENT.)
CHICAGO (MIRAMAX)
GANGS OF NEW YORK (MIRAMAX)
LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (NEW LINE CINEMA)
MY BIG, FAT, GREEK WEDDING (IFC FILMS)
ROAD TO PERDITION (20TH CENTURY FOX/DREAMWORKS)

I think the only one not to be nominated for the Oscar will be MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING. The others will all most likely get nominated.

It's nice to see MBFGW make the list. It hasn't made a lot of Best lists, but I do hope it gets the AA nomination.

Good list. I think Road To Perdition might be the one that doesn't get on the Oscar llist. I think Greek Wedding might, just cause it seems like there's been at least one lately.

MBFGW acomplished many things as an independent film, but imo, it doesn't deserve to be on that list. The Hours, Minority Report, About Smitch, and Catch Me If You Can otherwise do deserve it.. imo.

I was going to post them earlier, but these nominees were just so annoying. Except for Adaptation, I think everyone of those films are overrated (oh, except Chicago as well because I haven't seen it yet).

I honestly think My Big Fat Greek Wedding stands a better chance of a Best Picture nomination than Road to Perdition does, even though Road to Perdition is a slightly better movie.

Finally, The Hours hasn't been nominated for a Best Picture award. I've been really sick of hearing about it

Don't worry Scarface ;) , THE HOURS will be this years TRAFFIC.

TRAFFIC wasn't nominated by the PGA either, but then won the SAG ensemble, and was nominated for Best Picture as well. Expect THE HOURS to do the same.

I agree, The Hours is definitely this year's Traffic. Many of the same things happened to both.

That "visionary" award to MBFGW is an absolute joke. A very convential and fairly unfunny film.

And Other, you're just jealous I posted them first ;)

I dont see how movies like Frailty, One Hour Photo and Salton Sea get no respect

Decent nominations but I highly doubt Road to Perdition or My Big Fat Greek Wedding will get nominated at the Oscars.

Frailty and Salton Sea didn't do too well in theaters, and Photo was more known for William's performance, not the whole picture. If it'd been released during the holiday season, then it might've been nominated for more awards
