I´ve heard that Sam Raimi is going to direct, but who is the Boogeyman? is he a legend in America? Im located in Denmark, so I don´t know much about this Boogeyman.

The Boogeyman- How do I explain this? Every kid in America knows the boogeyman, but I don't think he really has a "story". The boogeyman is just what every parent tells their children in America to keep them from getting out of bed at night. It's just a spook story. Anyone else know more about this? I don't think there's any real leged.

Well, I should know alot about this subject according to my name...
But anyway, rtatick is right. I think its our fears itself is the boogeyman. He really isnt one person of one shape.
Thats my theory but NO there isnt really a story like Jack the Ripper or anything to go along with him...
