I just watched this today for the first time
in years ( one of a bunch of old vhs tapes i found when clearing my garage )
I think it's really good . Englund gives a very believable performance and the gore effects are terrific .It's easily his best film apart from the Nightmare series.

Robert Englund's Phantom Of The Opera was excellent. It's such a shame that this film was so underated. I think it's one of the best post-Lon Chaney versions that has ever been made.
I defenetely would half to say the Lon Chaney original and Robert Englund's vesion, are my two favorite Phantom movies.

This is definitely an entertaining and watchable horror flick. I first went along to see it at the cinema coz I'm such a huge Robert Englund fan. His performance is impressive, and I thought Jill Schoelen (Christine) was very good as well.
If you want gore, you're in your element with this one. I loved it when they opened the wardrobe door and found the skinned body.
A really good "cheese factor" horror flick. Recommended, in my opinion. (Such a shame it didn't do better at the box-office...)
