Greatest Actor of All Time?

With the talk in the thread "Viggo Mortensen - The Next Harrison Ford?" I began to realize that Harrison Ford is indeed one of the better actors in the history of Hollywood. I was wondering, who do you think is the greatest actor of all time, and who is your favorite actor?

Favorite Actor: Edward Norton. The man is outstanding in every single role he has been placed in. By far my favorite actor. I also really dig Brad Pitt as of late, who I think is somewhat under-rated. I really liked his role in Fight Club, and he did a great job alongside Clooney, holding his own in Ocean's Eleven as well as an excellent performance in Snatch.

Greatest Actor: A very hard question, but I really have to go with Robert DeNiro. Everything he is in turns to gold. From 'Raging Bull' to 'Goodfellas'. From 'Casino' to 'Meet the Parents'. The guy can, and has, done it all. Truly an amazing actor.

I will have to go with ED NORTON also because he is the man. All of his movies are so damn good. Fight Club, Primal Fear, Rounders, American History X, Red Dragon.... And he is still young and hasnt done that many movies yet so there is much more to look forward too

Sure, he's made a few bad decisions (Who hasn't?) But when he's good, he's *goooood* And his performances leave me speechless. Everytime. I'm sure most, or probably all :) , of you will disagree but to each his own . . . :)

Gary Cooper is the greatest of all time. He played a wide range of characters from cowboy to Everyman to baseball player to Soldier and architect, he definitely was the man. The biggest knock and greatest asset is he was the quintessential good guy and to my knowledge never played a villianous type character.
