3.Donnie Darko - Great film, nothing like Final Destination. 9/10

4.The Royal Tenenbaums - Decent enough film, some good acting. Wasn't this meant to be a comedy, though? 7/10

5.Monsters, Inc. - Good animation, but didn't really push the limits or whatever. 7/10

6.Shrek - Overrated nonsense. Mike Myers can go rot. 4/10

7.The Others - Too predictable. Wasn't scary, wasn't funny, wasn't really dramatic. Meh. 5/10, at least Haley Joel Osment wasn't in it.

8.Ghost World - N/A

9.Black Hawk Down - N/A

10.A.I. Artificial Intelligence - Boring schmaltz-fest. Nonsensical melodramatic crap, Kubrick must be spinning in his grave. 2/10.

Amélie
The Man Who Wasn't There
The Believer
Donnie Darko
LOTR
Planet Of The Apes (and there's nothing you can do about it :D)

Interesting list, and a very good one, also.

Your list
1.) Mulholland Drive -10/10 (it's on mine, no complaints here)
2.) Moulin Rouge! -10/10 (ditto)
3.) Donnie Darko -9/10 (great movie, would be in my top 20)
4.) The Royal Tenenbaums -10/10 (very refreshing movie, with an offbeat, but great, sense of humour. It's a shame Wes Anderson's pretty much the only person doing sophisticated comdies nowadays)
5.) Monsters, Inc. -10/10 (great movie, I think made my top 25, but I can't quite remember)
6.) Shrek -8/10 (very good movie, has some great funny homages to Disney movies)
7.) The Others -8/10 (very well made and very creepy, I prefer Amenebar's first movie, Open Your Eyes, though)
8.) Ghost World -10/10 (awesome movie, made my list)
9.) Black Hawk Down -10/10 (ditto)
10.) A.I. Artificial Intelligence -6/10 (only movie I didn't really care for out of your list. I don't like tearjerkers, they feel fake. I feel the movie's point was to make you cry and nothing else. It would have been better without the last 20 minutes.)

My list:

1. The Road Home (I saw it in 2001 so it's here, one of the best looking movies I've ever seen)
2. Memento (I love the philosophic reprecussions of this movie)
3. Mulholland Dr. (nothing to say)
4. Black Hawk Down (nothing to say)
5. Waking Life (an experimental film gone right, way trippy and fun to think about)
6. In The Bedroom (very real and touching movie)
7. Moulin Rouge (awesome, nothing else to say)
8. No Man's Land (the best satire of the year, funny as hell and very nasty messages)
9. In The Mood For Love (terrific movie, gorgeous to watch)
10. Ghost World (nothing to say)

What do you think of this one?
