I love the guy as an actor. Well, just read this interview to see what he's like as a person...

I was just about to start this thread!!! Grrr . . . j/k. lol. :D Anyways, Colin Farrell is extremely talented (His performance in Minority Report comes to mind.) as well as good - looking. My prediction: He'll have a long career.
(BTW, Did anyone else see his "slip-of-the-tongue" on "The Golden Globes Pre - Show"??? Very funny!!!)

Yes, I saw his little "slip-of-his-tongue," one quality he has is that he doesn't put on an act during interviews. He shows what he's really like.

I gotta meet this guy at a Subway sometime soon.
He seems like a really cool guy, and I love that last answer of the interview at that link. Funny stuff.

I love him, lately. I think he's got a lot of talent, and although he's not "poised" or "suave" he really is just a normal guy who I would have a drink with anytime. Am I the only person who he strikes as a great fellow to go have a pint or two with, and just talk and have fun?

He's quite an actor and I look forward to seeing more of him. I can't believe how accurate his American accent is! I'm always shocked when I hear him talk in interviews...
What was his slip-of-the-tounge at the Globes?

I have the Vanity Fair article that he was on the cover of and that article painted a VERY colorful picture of the guy. He's obviously very talented and commands a presence on the screen (Boz, Tigerland) and is a hot little tart, but ladies apparently little Colin has had his heart broken and is just out for a little fun, if you get my drift. In fact an extra said he was getting a little TOO into character with his female co-star from The Recruit.
Bottom line: Extremely talented, extremely handsome and if I were into one nighters..... well, you know.

I believe he said "shit" when being interviewed on national television before the Globes... hilarious...

The Vanity Fair mag had some delicious shots of him. It now adorns the very walls of my room. :D
Did you guys notice how fast he talked during that interview when he said "shit"? LOL He was so out of it.
He could very well be the next Russell Crowe if i'm not mistaken. He has great sex-appeal, overflows with raw energy, and very powerful on screen. He's also a womanizer at that. Sounds like ol' Rus to me.

I mentioned this in the Best Accents thread a while back. In Hart's War, he sounds for all the world like a guy from Oak Park, IL. When you hear his natural voice, he's got an Irish brouge as thick as a tire.
Interestingly, for a guy who likes to talk, he can also listen. He was on Favreau's IFC show this month, along w/ Kevin Smith, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, and Ben did most of the talking. Colin was animated when he jumped in, but he seemed to enjoy hearing everyone else, which is damned refreshing for a guy w/ his looks and talent.
The whole Globes thing was classic. Lisa Ling says "You know you can't say the S word?" and he's like "Oh, I thought it was only the F word..." in total innocence. Funny stuff.
The boy is the real deal.

Yeah, a lot of Russell Crowe comparisons. Both are heavy drinkers and curse up a storm. But I'm sure he'll be making RC's level of money before he ever reaches RC's level of talent.

This year he has the movie The Recruit coming plus the long awaited Phone Booth & Daredevil in February. Only one word describes my thoughts of Colin, YUM!

Damn! Colin Farrell is one lucky man IMO. His date for The Recruit premiere? None other than Ms. Spears, Britney Spears!
I saw them on Access Hollywood together.....Colin's interview with Shaun Robinson at the premiere was hilarious. He is classic.
happy OUT here

WOW! I barely even know who he is. I DID see Minority Report... I'll look into it.
I hate Russell Crowe, though, so hope that comparison is just for womanizing!

Joblo's interview with Colin is up in the news section. Very very cool. So refreshing to hear a straight up answer instead of the usual run-arounds that is oh-so typical of celebrities nowadays.
One dumbass rumour I heard is that Colin is going out with Demi Moore. What the fuck? Just leave the guy alone for chrissakes.

Great actor and seems like a real great guy. And the guy's got "it"...he's gonna be very very big, very very soon, I'm telling you that much.

Colin Farrell is a stud. He definatly can fake an accent like no-other. I had no clue he was irish before Minority Report. Then i saw him in an interview, and was totally blown away. Props to Colin.
He does a great job acting, and he has such a great character to him. He's definatly unique in the bunch of actors.
He reminds me of brad pitt in a way, to where any part that Pitt has played, i can see Farrell playing that too.

I second that. For all of Crowe's talent, he wastes his personality on things that indicate an unlikeable man.
He does have taste when it comes to inviting ex-lovers to his wedding, because some men would be averse to that.
Colin Farrell is getting too much buzz, too fast. He will be stuck in the role of put upon hero too often. Either that or evil villain with a quirk.
Since when does a man who sleeps around constitutes a hunk? I'm sorry, but his attitude is so laissez faire about it that it skirts sleazy. If a woman had said what he says, they'd be slutty.
Farrell is a good actor with a healthy outlook, and he does know that the women he sleeps with derive just the same experience he does.
Too much hype will kill his appeal.

I myself love characters like Colin Farrell. He's a cool guy, much like one of my other faves Mr Crowe.
Hollywood needs people like these, old school hell raisers with fire in their belly who just couldnt give a shit.
Farell is gonna be a superstar.

Colin Colin Colin! My god, can you be any more talented and any more sexier?? You are the man and you will go very far! God how I would love to hang out with this man one day. He's up there on my guys list. I'm not really straight or gay, I'm kind of in the middle, but I must say Colin is one sexy dude.

Colin Ferrell is great actor that will be around for a while. However a part of me thinks he may have an ego explosion coming up in the future.
Why?
Mainly because of him going out with Britney Spears and his various appearances on tv. Yes, he is promoting The Recruit, but it is just a hunch that lies in the back of my mind. I hope I am wrong though.

Hmmm, Colin is a cool lad as it happens. I've a feeling he may have shagged half of Hollywood before the year is out...nothing wrong with that mind you. He a bit of a charming young rogue, "treat 'em, mean...keep 'em keen" I reckon.
Go on son, GET IN THERE...:D

Here's some Colin Farrell quotes....
Courtesy of The Sun
On his hobbies: “I love porn movies. I’ve been buying ’em since I was 14.”
On playing a superhero in Daredevil: “I’ve never saved anyone except myself. I look after No1.”
On looking at pictures of himself: “Yeah, I love it. I won’t masturbate to anything else.”
To a waitress in a restaurant: “Come sit on daddy’s lap. You’re a bad girl and need to be spanked.”
On the difference between Irish and American girls: “Brazilian wax for a start. I ate a lot of pussy at home but I never saw a vagina.”
On the craic: “I go out and get battered and have a buzz. I’ve always been a firm believer that casual sex is a fucking good thing.”
He is now officially on my cool list. I love that quote on the difference between Irish and American ladies.

Having just looked at the new interview of him on this site, he is now one of the coolest celebrities. He the kind of guy you would want to chill with.

Nah, I disagree. I don't think he's the type of guy that ANYONE would just "chill" with, but more like, start a Fight Club.
God, I don't know why but everytime I think of Colin Farrell I think of Brad Pitt from Fight Club. Is he Australian? Because when I heard him talk about Britney or something on E!, he had a strong Scottish accent. Or, am I deaf when it comes with foreign accents?
Anyway, I just hate when you guys compare Russell Crowe with Farrell. Russell Crowe is like, so 5 years ago (or whenever Gladiator came out)! The only movie I really liked him in was LA Confidential. I think Farrell has a whole lot more to offer than an Aussie accent and liquor for breath. He's going to be bigger than big, bigger than Diesel's man boobs! I just hope he picks out good movies and none of them suck, like what happened to another fellow Aussie, Hugh Jackman in that weird Kate & Leopold movie! Ack!
cheers!

I don't exactly consider myself to be Colin Farrell's biggest fan. He seems to be suffering from Croweitis- arrogant, womaniser, high opinion of himself...yes, it's a sweeping generalisation, but the psychologist in me detects a little sting in Farrell...
For those of you who remember Amelia Warner (Little Miss Wooden Acting Skills) in her small role as saintly childbride-cum- maneater Simone in Quills, you may also remember her as the one-time Mrs Colin Farrell.
What did it last? Four months? These young whippersnappers ;)

Cool actor with lots of potential, and his doesn't give a shit attitude is a plus. As well he's one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. Looking forward to Alexander.

Good looking guy. Talented. Phone Booth was pretty damned cool. He seems a bit arrogant, even if he does have reason to be. Yay from me, though.

Big YAY from me. Tigerland is getting better and better with every viewing and The Recruit wasn't really that bad. He's a great actor and sounds like a fun guy. Just wouldn't like to try and drink this guy under the table...
