Anybody remember this "giant snake on the loose" flick from 1983 starring Peter Fonda and Oliver Reed?
Another guilty pleasure of mine. I thought the special effects were decent and the snake looked "ok".

I enjoyed the film at the time I saw it .Can't really say much more than that as it must have been about 20 years ago and I have'nt seen it since.

wait,giant snake on the loose?i must be thinking of another spasms,or maybe not...i didnt see it but remember the box being black and white and having a girl in the shower screaming and some weird and nasty deformed zombie type monster,am i thinking of the same movie as yous are?if so,whats the deal with the giant snake,if theirs a zombie on the cover?im so confused!

Yup, it's the same movie XCoRyX. That nasty deformed zombie type monster was actually a "bitten" victim by the snake.
That dude got all swollen after the snakebite, and his skin started to burst open...It was a pretty nasty effect tho.

If you liked this movie you may also like Venom, which also starred Oliver Reed.

It has been a long while since I've seen Venom, the basic premise is a boy gets a snake as a pet, but there is a mixup somewhere along the line and instead of a docile, harmless snake, he ends up with a deadly Black Mamba. Somehow the snake get loose when kidnappers break into the townhouse, and starts killing people.

There's this other snake-on-the-loose flick I've never seen called FAIR GAME (1988) a.k.a. MAMBA starring Gregg "Body Double" Henry. I wonder if the film/DVD is worth checking out?

SPASMS isn't great but not really that bad either. The story kinda reminded me of THE RELIC.
