First there is no link between the Halloween - serie and this film.
I don't remember a lot of it to be honest.
This film was not that bad I think and the end is really good because it was pessimistic.
Sorry not to help u more.

I think it's been discussed before but here goes.
The idea after Halloween 2 was to make entirely diffirent movies based around the theme of halloween and to be released every year at that time.
The first ( and last ) was Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch).
It's about an ancient druid ritual which involved human sacrifice .The main character wants to bring this back with the ultimate sacrifice of hundreds on halloween using the children and the specially made masks.
I liked it but feel it should have dropped the word halloween from the title.

This movie kicked ass and I wish they would have stuck with the different HalloweeN storylines. I think the HalloweeN title is well placed and I will always choose this movie over bastardations like H20 and HalloweenV.
HalloweenIII = Good shite

Halloween 3 was about some dude trying to kill kieds with the masks which had some chip thing in them, and some other dude tries to stop him, and crazy shit happens, we get the best damn halloween movie yet!

Eh, I always thought the idea of this movie was cheesy as shit. Even if the idea of excluding Michael Myers from the Halloween series worked, I don't think I would've liked this film.

I think this move shouldve been titled something else. I know Carpenters idea was to have a different story each time but still...it doesnt work.
For a REGULAR horror movie- pretty good
For a HALLOWEEN movie- SUCKED

I don't understand why this film has its share of defenders. I was prepared to view it as a stand-alone movie, but I hated it just the same. A major, major bore.

Thank you, I actually went into my viewing of this film with high expectations...
I now consider it the worst film I have ever seen.

I think it's a really solid piece of entertainment, one of my fav halloweens.
As I posted before, it's a window into the then unknown origins of Michael Myers.
Speaking of major bores, the original Halloween delivers more bores with its slow pace than any sequel except for the last two which I ignore.

I didnt think it was that boring. in fact it to me wasnt boring at all, maybe after seeing CHRISTMAS EVIL, i can hardly call anything boring. if you want boring go see that, but its just my opinion, i thought halloween 3 was good.

Well I for One support this movie FULLY and I will spend my life promoting it because of its kick ass content. I can not understand why this movie is so disliked, It has a great story, awsome HalloweeN atmospher(sequels after 4 excluded this vibe), the best score since the original, Tom Atkins as cheesy as ever, Multiple "shapes", HalloweeN mythology done right, great stalk scenes(loved the cameras watching the town) and many many more good points.
I assure you this is a great movie and more than half of the "Myers" sequels will never compare to this masterpiece of Carpenter/Hill/Wallace lore. I agree that there were a few "miniscul" amounts of craptacularosity in this film but they are null and void when compared to the god points of HalloweenIII.
So please check it out again if you hated it, the red-headed stepchild needs some love too!
...wait, thats HalloweenV,! Get the belt out!
WHACK WHACK WHACK!!!! heh heh heh....

I originally hated it as well after the first time I saw. After giving it a second chance and viewing it as a stand alone movie, it's really not all that bad. It's got an interesting premise, the acting is decent, the writing was decent, the suspense was decent ect. ect. If the word Halloween was removed from the title, I don't think this movie would get dumped on nearly as much as it does. So yeah, upon second viewing I came to realize the movie was okay, not great, but okay.

Watched this for the first time in years last night and yep, it still sucked. That chick was decent looking but should have been naked more. The doctor was horrible and the premise was interesting yet poorly executed. Rubbish.

This is an OK movie, but being Pagan myself I found it rather insulting and they obviously did not do their homework when they came up with this stupid plot. BTW, Samhain is pronounced "SOW-in", not SAM-hain.

I know this is getting a bit off topic, but exactly what religion do you follow? And what did you think of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers?

I like this movie. Just don't think it belongs to the series, watch it as a stand-alone movie. I don't care about it's flaws, I just watch it and enjoy it. There are MUCH worse movies out there like Night Of The Zombies (the one with the nazi-zombies) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

I can certainly see why some people can't look past this films many flaws (I still love it), but "they didn't do their homework"? This is fantasy, my friend. Even if this was supposed to reflect reality (HA!), you shouldn't feel insulted. Surely there are good witches and bad witches? There are always people in any religion who miss the boat and twist the meanings to suit their own perverse logic. We're missing a couple buildings in New York as a result of this kind of thing. I guess I don't need to call attention to the current troubles of the Catholic church...

seriously i still dont see whats wrong with this movie, so it had none of the other halloween character from the first 2, i didnt like those characters and i didnt like those movies, so i have no problem that they didnt show up for part 3. boring? i dont think so, ive seen way more boringer films, and way way way worse. as for cheesy? yes it is. but then again cheesy is good. ;D
