Lets face facts, there have been alot of songs about Supes, but my personal favorite(besides the Superman Movie theme) is:
Pocketful of Kryptonite(Jimmy Olsen Blues) by The Spin Doctors. This is a great, fun song showing Jimmy Olsens perspective and view of Superman. His jealousy and disdain, and pining for Lois Lane. Fun, witty stuff that would make a great screenplay. If you haven't heard this song download it now!

Great topic, Dignan...as a Supes fan, I should have thought about this before...kudos!

I love all the songs you people have named, I also dig some other songs that don't have much to do with Supes but have his name in it:

I Am Superman -- REM
Superman -- Eminem

And of course John Williams's "Superman Theme" is a pure masterpiece.
