Now i've heard lots of bad music in my day, but a song has to be truly awful to cause physical pain to it's listeners. Here's my illustrious list of the three such songs to achieve that goal....

Reliant K - Sadie Hawkins Dance: Wow. This song became a frequent object of discussion among me and my friends. It really seemed to symbolize everything bad about pop-punk all fueled into roughly 3 minutes of blinding agony. I never want to hear anything by this artist ever again.

Crazy Town - Butterfly: You people don't know how close i came to smashing my radio when i heard this abomination. I had the hammer in my hand before a metallica song (fuel i believe, not their best, but it would do) came on to soothe my jangled nerves. I never want to hear anything by this artist ever again, but i have a feeling i'm going to (i hear they're coming out with a new album soon, but this time i have my hammer ready).

the Bouncing Souls - Wish me Well (you can go to hell): Both singers' voices in this really dig into my head like a cheese grater and i can't get them out. This is far far FAR too sunny for my liking. I have heard other songs by this artist, but none of them have made me reach for the knife rack quite like this one.

How about you?

That new J. Lo song with LL Cool J gives me sharp cramps in my abdomen. The first 3 lines by LL are enough to bring a championship boxer to his knees.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

Why in God's name is this woman allowed to be both an actress and a singer? She has no talent in either artform.

Every time I hear a Coldplay song, my brain locks up, and my bowels unlock.

Fucking painful.

I saw them in concert a few months ago and they were so bad. I've seen them twice actually, both times because I wanted to see a band they were playing with and both times they were terrible. They have maybe two good songs. I don't know if you knew that they were a christian band but they are, that can explain a lot of why they have a song about this subject.

One song that brings me close to tears of pain every time I hear it is Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down. What a terrible terrible song and how sad that it is played or used to be played over and over on radio stations

It's pretty rare that I like much mainstream rock, but I always thought this was a really great song!

I like that Kryptonite song too, actually. Maybe it's because we used to do it in jazzercise so it was always kind of fun to me. The band (doesnt matter what song) I HATE to hear is System of a Down. That guy's vocals grate on my LAST nerve. Literally makes me angry. But (sigh) maybe that's their purpose.

I fucking can't stand any, and I mean any, song by Amanda Marshall or Macy Gray. I absolutely detest their voices. So I suppose those would be the closest to actually causing physical pain to my ears.
