View Full Version : "Haunted House" Tournament

A.J. Hakari

I know, I know, I'm getting caught up with the tournament fever sweeping the boards, but what with action and slasher being taken, I thought I'd start up an idea I had: a tournament with films involving ghosts, haunted houses, and the like. I've picked 24 films to be a part of the tournament (I apologize if your favorites have been left out):

The Sixth Sense
The Changeling OUT
The Innocents OUT
House on Haunted Hill (1958)
House on Haunted Hill (1999)
13 Ghosts (1960) OUT
13 Ghosts (2001) OUT
The Haunting (1963)
The Haunting (1999) OUT
The Others
The Legend of Hell House OUT
Ghostbusters
The Amityville Horror
Stephen King's Rose Red OUT
Beetlejuice
The Frighteners OUT
House OUT
Poltergeist
Lady in White
The St. Francisville Experiment OUT
What Lies Beneath OUT
The Exorcist
The Fog
Session 9 OUT

My Internet illiteracy doesn't allow me to post pics of the posters/covers, so instead, I'm posting links to their IMDb sites. Let the tournament begin!

THANK YOU! Now I'm happy, at least about you adding What Lies Beneath anyway. I found The Exorcist to be overrated so I don't really care too much about that one, but it was still a good one to include.

Actually, the 13 GHOSTS in this match-up is the original 1960 version. The new version is in the next match. Let me know if you want to keep your vote for 13 GHOSTS (1960) or not because of the mix-up. Otherwise, the vote won't be counted (because it's for a movie not in the current match).
