well, i wanted to share this story, cause it's humorous to me, and i was wondering if anyone else had a funny story to tell......
here's mine
my friend ashley and i were excited to go to a finch concert in pomona california. it started at 7, and we met and left at 530....due to traffic, we didn't make it to pomona until 730. that was ok, because the band we were going for (finch) was the biggest band out of all of them, so we knew they'd play last. anyways, as i drove down the street to get to the little place, ashley took out a ticket and put it on her lap. i said "is that my ticket?" she looked at the ticket, then she looked at me with sad eyes "oh my god, i am so sorry. i forgot your ticket"....erg...i almost started to cry. when we got to the glass house (where the band was playing) ashley got out to see if she could buy me a ticket. i looked for parking, but found none. only parking in scary places where i wouldn't want to park my car anyways. i almost got lost looking for parking, but i soon found ashley. she jumped into the car and said the show was sold out, but finch was playing at 1005. so she offered to give me the ticket and ask a friend to pick her up. i said no. then she offered to give me the ticket and wait in the car, of course i wasn't gonna do that. so, she called her mom to ask her if she could meet us half way and bring the ticket. her mom said no, ashley was pissed. so i said, let me look for a bathroom, and we can decide what to do. i suggested we try and go back to get the ticket and come back to pomona and see if we can make it before finch plays. ashley didn't like the idea, but thats the best we could think of. then she called her mom again, and luckily, this time, her mom agreed to meet us. so, we were gonna meet her at a mcdonalds that was off the freeway that was about 20-25 minutes from the glass house. so we drive there, and the exit her dad told us to take was on another freeway, so we didn't want to take it. so we took the next exit. we had seen the mcdonalds off the freeway, and the street we exited on looked like it ran next to the freeway. we were WRONG. we got lost and were driving around for about 20 minutes, then we found it. THANK GOD. then ashley's mom met us, and we got the ticket. we arrived back at the glass house at 940, and we were happy. i was worried i was gonna drive around forever to find a parking spot, or i'd have to park in the scary part. but, THERE WAS A SPOT RIGHT IN THE FRONT....woo hoo. we made it! we went inside, checked the place out, listened to another band, bought some hoodies (i bought a cd too) and we were there when finch came out, and we were there when finch was done. one of the best shows i've been too.....and such a crazy night:eek: but we made it...and thats all that matters:p
