Any Cake fans here?

Cake: definetly one of my all time favorite bands. They can write lyrics like nobody else. So, am I the only fan of Cake here?

Just kidding. No, I don't like the band much, at least what I've heard. Maybe you could reccommend something you really think is well written and I can tell you what I think?

They're awesome. I love Cake. I remember dropping acid one time and listening to "Going the Distance" for the first time. I quite liked it and everything was storybooks

CAKE is damn cool... my favorite Cake record is Comfort Eagle. When I heard soem CAKE songs for the first time, I was thinking that they are absolutely awful... But after a while I leaned to appreciate em, especially the weird lyrics. Good stuff!

Yah Cake are pretty sweet.....if you never heard of them u should broaden your category for musical taste because they are quite good

Love 'em. Going the Distance is a great song, and I really like their cover of I will Survive. Race Car YaYa's and Friend is a Four Letter Word are also very cool. Fashion Nugget is an all-around great album.

Love Cake...wish I had more of their cds...I own Fashion Nugget and I enjoy the rest but I am not as familiar with them

They're unique in many ways. The singer has a way with words; call it stream of consciousness, call it whatever, all I know is that listening to those words makes me want to write. They're one of the most quirky and intelligent bands to end up on the alternative rock circuit. I think "Comfort Eagle" is their best work.

When I bought fashion nugget it did not come with liner notes or the case. I got it at a pawn shop for a dollar and that basically how I stumbled onto the plethora of great tunes that is Cake.
