Can you watch Region 0 DVD's on a Mac?

First, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this question.

But does anyone know if one can watch Region 0 (PAL) DVD's on their Mac?

If not, is there software that will allow this?

Region 0's should play in pretty much anything as far as I know...

Let me be a little more specific...

Can one play PAL and other region DVD's on a PC DVD player or a Mac DVD player or are those region locked as well?

OK, no. If you put a region 3, 4, etc into a region 1 DVD Rom drive, it will usually ask you if you want to view the film and if it should change the settings of the reader. Only thing is: it doesn't go back to region 1. If you put in a Region 3 and you let it switch, there's no goin' back to Region 1. I know cuz I tried it out a while back with a R3 disc. If you wanna see DVDs which are other regions, than you need a region-free dd player (which are now pretty much banned), or you can try to convert it to a VCD on your computer...

Or you can cheat and download a hack off of Limewire or Kazaa that changes your DVD-ROM drive to Region 0 permanently.

you know, so if something's not out on dvd in the states, you still cant watch it.

they dont want us getting dvd's from other regions and being able to watch them. its just typical marketing bullshit.


if they would put the movies out on dvd, i'd buy em. but they dont. not my fault. (not that i have a region free player anyway).
