okay.. this is a longshot
... in the episode where Homer became the leader union for his power plant, they staged this big walkout thingy.. Lisa had a guitar and she started singing a song.. the only lyrics I know are.
"so we'll march day and night through the big cooling tower
They have the plans, but we have the power"
anyone know this song??? its stuck in my head.
thanks,
romero.

I think that that song was written especially for the show, and those are the only lyrics. Not sure about that.

I don't think its an actual song either. Just something the creators of Simpsons came up with
You can download it here (http://www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/Tower/9999/simsng18.wav) (Right click and save target as)

I always thought it was a melody of another song with new lyrics to it. The melody that she played sounded really familiar to me and I could never figure out what it was. Maybe I just hear things though.

The melody does sound really familliar, but I cant seem to place it.. kiiiinnnnda driving me nuts, but I'll willing to accept the idea that it was made up as closure. :)
Thanks again, guys!

I haven't heard the song.. seems like a pretty run of the mill progression, though.

Can't help you with it being related to a real song.
