Are you ready for this-When my girlfriend and I seen Darkness Falls there were 4 people there that wouldnt shut their fucking mouths. Before the movie started they were running up and down the aisles yelling and as soon as the movie came on it was commentary time because they talked during the whole damn movie. For example this is what one of them said-Yeah,leave it up to a white person to do that-If it was a black person we'd be busting caps.I told them to shut there damn mouths and they still kept talking.Next time this happens Im standing up and walking over to them and Kicking their ass.Anybody have this problem recently at the movies. What do you think I should do because this has really been a problem recently.I know violence isnt the way to go bad this is bullshit when you pay movie to see a movie and something like this happens.

man, is there's something I dont stand is movie talkers, when I saw PANIC ROOM for the 1st time, there were like 4 kids (13 year olds max) who wouldn't shut their mouths, after they started tossing pop corn and my girlfriend was pissed off, I just stood up and shouted: "WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!?" and they all did. It was cool, cause people started cheering...

Ok,there was this one time when I was at Halloween8 and there was a group of like 10 teens sitting a row down from me and my buddy and at the very begging they were quiet, but then once****HIGHTLIGHT TO READ**** Jamie dies they started talking so me and my buddy went up to them and told them to be quiet or we would kick there ass,so then they shut up for like 5 minutes so my buddy beat up one of them and then they shut up and then after the movie they tried to fight us and we kicked there ass:D . They were probably 14,but still, cocky little fuckers if you ask me.

Peace

I always find that this line seems to be most effective:

Spoken in my tongue:

"If yae dinnae haud yer wheesht ahm gonnae malky yeh sae nasty the fuckin' dentist winnae ken ye!!"

Or in English:

"If you don't shut up I'm going to fuck you up so bad even you're fucking dentist won't be able to identify your body!"

:D

Which brings me to my point. You don't know about people these days. God only knows, the next time you go up to someone in a theature and say "Shut the fuck up", they'll pull out a gun and shoot you. Seriously, I'd be careful who I'd tell off.

But there has been times where people my age would goof around and it would piss me off. So much where I'd like to give them an ass whoopin'. :)

This happened during my 2nd viewing of the 2 towers, i was watching it with my mom and these 2 wouldnt shut up. my mom kept complaning to me so when one of them yelled something i just screamed "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" not one more word from them the entire movie.

i mean shit, if the movies funny, laugh your ass off have a good time with it, but if your gonna come into a movie like that and laugh and yell the whole time, i'm gonna get pissed.

this was not a movie that you laugh the whole time through, it has its funny moments yes, but its not a fucking comedy and i'm not gonna listen to it from some 12 year olds.

i dont care anymore, with how much movies cost now, i'm not gonna sit there and listen to a bunch of 12 year old little shits who are too dumb to understand whats going on so they laugh and dont have the attention span of someone with ADD.

Ahhhh one of my biggest pet peeves of all times. Assholes who talk in the movie threater.

While I agree with what Lindsey said, I just will not tolerate this bs especially when you gotta shell out 20 bucks just for two people to watch a movie, if I wanted to listen to teenagers giggle and carry on I'd go to eat n puke on a Friday night.

What threw me off was that the people I had a run in with at Darkness Falls were probably in their early 20's.I dont understand why people wanna pay to go see a movie then run thier fucking mouths the whole time.Next time its on because Im getting some ass.

Excellent point, it costs a small fortune for a couple of people to watch a movie, at the very least you should be able to watch it in peace. Idiots who bother people in theater should be drug out and shot.

Yeah I used to work in a theatre for almost 3 years so I've seen a lot of just how big assholes people can be. There was no way I could pick a fight being an employee and all though. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

The last time I shouted at people in the cinema was when I went to see.....Shit, I'm embarrassed to say.......Harry Potter and the chamberpot of secrets!!! There, I've said it!!

I had no worries about anyone giving me any shit - between myself and the wife our combined ages were greater than every loud-mouth fucking bastard kid in there.

And even if the kids didn't spoil it, the film was shite anyway.

yeah, usually when you say shut the fuck up they just quiet down and show the true babies they are...when my brother saw jackass recently he and some 23 year old dude he never met before in his life teamed up on a group of like 4 or 5 14 year olds....and i've said some derrogatory comments to them at showings of signs and jeepers creepers, and they always wind up being quiet,a few comments is all it takes, but tarzman, thanks for eliminating one of the many groups of movie ruining assholes.

i realize they paid to get in too, but that doesnt give them the right to fuck it up for everyone else that just wants to enjoy the movie in peace.

most of the time it seems to be some 12 year old punks that thier parents bought them tickets and they go in thinking they can do whatever they want and not get any shit. well if their in a theater with me, they will. i'm not putting up with it. if i have to tell them to shut up more than twice, i'll go get somone and have them kicked out. never have had to do that, but i would.

I suppose that's ONE good thing about 18 certificates in the UK.

If you go to see an 18, it's highly unlikely that a 12-year old will manage to get in.

(For those who don't know, an 18 in the US would be called NC-18. It's basically the NC-17 rules, only with 18 instead.)

Example - I saw Scary Movie (rated R) in Detroit and these kids came in with an older guy (must have been a big brother or something) and started shouting and talking all the way through it - they weren't interested in the movie. I went to see it again when I came back to Scotland, where it was rated 18 and therefore nobody under 18 was allowed in, regardless of whether they had a guardian.

I can understand how this pisses off anyone who may be under 18, but for those who are finally past that milestone it's certainly better as we can enjoy films with less chance of unwanted noise.

Note: I said LESS chance. In no way am I saying that everyone that talks during a movie is under 18. I have had countless experiences of grown adults talking all the way through the movie. The way to deal with this is to either go and see a member of staff (after all, they're paid to ensure you have the perfect cinema experience), or wait until the end of the film, find a group of people who were also annoyed, and complain to the manager that you want your money back because your experience was flawed by a disturbance. And it won't seem like you're just saying that to get your money back, because there are other people backing you up.
