Judging from the trailers, Coyote Ugly looks like it could be one of the Top 20 Worst Films of the Year. But, hey, did anyone know that Kevin Smith is an uncredited screenwriter for the film? Hmm...that's the only thing that grabbed my interest about the movie.

Dude it wont be the worst film of the year. I really think it'll be a descent film. You guys are taking this a little too far. Battlefield: Earth is an example of one of the worst. So come on! I dont think it'll be near that trash!

It probably won't be "trash", but it still gets me enraged that Hollywood thinks that if you slap some good looking women on a movie name it'll sell. Unfortunetly it probably will. It's all flash and no substance. And it still gets me very angry that it won't be an R rating.

Yes, this is true, but not only of Hollywood...you see it in commercials, in magazine print ads, in fashion, even in game shows such as Survivor and Big Brother! /ubb/wink.gif I think it's more a derivative of our society rather than Hollywood itself.

However, there was a good point... and that is of the PG-13 rating. Hmm... the trailers are insinuating something sexy and alluring... I can't help but wonder if my expectations will cause me to view this as one big flop. Same thing happend to Boys and Girls with their tagline, "Sex changes everything!" I went to buy tickets, and noticed it was rated PG-13.... certainly not what they were insinuating in their trailers and ads. Saw the movie, and was extremely disappointed.

So what if 'Coyote Ugly' wont have nudity, it's still gonna be EXTREMELY arrousing entertainment. I mean they still will have hot, wet, sexy, tightly clothed women. I'll watch it for that. Besides it's competition is gonna be 'Hollow Man' so we all know it's not gonna be a big film. I'm predicting Hollow Man opens with a 30 mill and 'Ugly' will be lucky if it scratches up 20.

Coyote Ugly does "arouse" my attention, but I just know they're going to find some way to sneak a chik flick plot into this movie, and that's where Parchai draws the line. One minute it'll be hot, wet women dancing around, and the next they'll all be in a circle discussing their feelings and not being naked or wet or dancing while naked and wet. I think I'm gonna wait for the reviews to come in before I rush off and see this movie.

The trailer looks pretty ugly, so i doubt im going to like Coyote Ugly, but oh well... it opens the same week as Space Cowboys (starring Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones) and Hollow Man (starring Kevin Bacon)... so I doubt Coyote Ugly is going to do well in the box office.... Im so looking forward to Hollow Man! i think it's going to be so awesome!!!

I think y'all are selling Coyote Ugly short at the box office. Sure it is up against stiff competition, but this flick should be a boom with both young men AND young women. It does sneak in a chick flick plot(that I didn't mind too much). It does have what most chick flicks don't have, though....skin tight clothing on gyrating supermodels. Your girlfriend can enjoy the sappy love story and you can enjoy Tyra et. al dancing cross the bar. I was pleased /ubb/smile.gif

If Kevin SMith wrote this movie, wouldn't there be the word "fuck" and a blowjob joke every five seconds? I don't think I'll see this movie, even though Smith wrote it or whatever. After the review of Joblo is looks really stupid (except the bar scenes)

Scarface, unfortunately, no one can be told what the Coyote Ugly is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no going back. You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

P.S. Did anyone see the parodies on this year's MTV Movie Awards? The Matrix and M:I-2 segments made me laugh out loud (literally).

I thought it was pretty good. The acting was Ok, and the story was kinda sappy, but It was still pretty good, and the Bar Sequences rocked! If it was rated R it would be alot better, but I can settle for PG-13.

I also thought that it was good. It's really a love story (ahem, "chick flick") in disguise, with all the usual slow parts that seem to be requisite for the romance genre replaced with fast and fun (ahem, "shake that booty") moments.

For a love story, this is a welcome and unique angle that may just have what it takes to please both audiences, male and female.

My main beef is with the trailer that portrayed the movie to be hot and sexy. It was nowhere near hot and sexy, what with its PG-13 rating. I hate being teased and being left to take a cold shower. /ubb/frown.gif Not that it happens often to me. /ubb/smile.gif
