Final Destination Going The Same Direction As Evil Dead?

Well Evil Dead was all scary, Evil Dead 2 was funny and scary, and Army Of Darkness was just funny. Final Destination was scary, Final Destination 2 was scary and funny, and I heard on the boards they are CONSIDERING making a part 3 .... ALL COMEDY. Think it'll happen?

You're dealing with death. The second one can have its funny moments, but you can't just go and make a flat-out comedy about death when it involves gory murders.

Evil Dead was about demons... at least we know that's fiction.

In my opinon, The Evil Dead series went downhill after Evil Dead 2. Seriously though, the 1st Evil Dead was the only really GOOD movie out of the whole series.
I own all 3 but, I just enjoy the 1st one more...

i must disagree about ED. The first is a classic. The 2nd while not as good is good entertainment, while the 3ed is on its own...not the best of the lot but they tried something different and I like it for that.

I can see ED and FD being simular is there paths in that regard. now we just need a new franchise with the initials GD to follow the trend...

Back to topic. I wouldn't mind the Final Destination series going the way of Evil Dead. Seeing as I thought Final Destination 2 was better than the original. On the other hand, I absolutely hated Evil Dead 2. It's by far the worst of the series.

I really don't think that Final Destination 3 is going to be a comedy. It's almost inevitable that they're going to make a third on due to the box office numbers the second is putting up. However, the Evil Dead movies are one of the few movies that can be scary and comedic and still maintain a fine balance in my opinion.
