The Renaissance Part 1, was very cool i thought. It definatly had a cartoon plot and feel to it. But i real enough to where i can see something like that happening. I think these 4 definatly have great potential. There is a great story that can be told in these and i think they can pull it off. It plays sweetly into the movies.
p.s.
These can play so well into the Terminator series. Like the Terminator series are prequals to the Matrix trilogy. The whole men vs. Machines. And one man leads the humans in the future (john conner) to rise up and defeat the machines in the future. The only thing is, this means Ol' Johnny boy lost the war, and now Neo, and Morpheus are left to rise up and win the war against the machines, or die trying again. This may be far fetched but i think it's pretty cool. :)

Goddamn it. It requires Quicktime, which seemingly every program in the world does, and that doesn't work on my comp

I love quicktime. It's the most stable and best quality of picture you can use.

Quicktime is god! And the Second Renaissance Part 1 was great, I usually don't dig anime that much, but it was a treat to watch.

I hear ya Scarface... For, like forever i never had it. It took like 8 hours to download on my computer and i didn't have the time. I bought Minority Report on DVD and it came with an extra cd that plays game trailers on the computer. It downloaded quicktime in a second. Now im in bliss....
I'm still downloading it, one day i'll get DSL and be in heaven :D

THE SECOND ANIMATRIX SHORT FILM IS ONLINE. It's called Program.
Unline the other film, it is not a large story told in many short, quick scenes, but rather one scene out of a very small story. It's about a girl in a training program, doing it with someone she knows, but it goes wrong when he tells her his plans--he wants to go live in the Matrix, and try to forget the real world.
I thought it was very good, the animation was good (I have never liked Anime before this) and I liked the bullet time scenes that were put in. There was some good fighting too. Although the costumes didn't really fit the world of the Matrix, but I guess it was all a simulation anyway.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of these!

'Program' was ... o.k. The best part was the ending. I didn't see it coming. I usually don't watch Japanimation. The dialogue seemed a bit too japanese for my taste. Still loved the first one. Final Flight of Orisis is gonna kick-ass though!

The 4:30 min trailer for the Anime's to come out on DVD has officially come out, and definatly AWESOME! I love the first stuff narrative by some female voice. The line is so cool "First, there was man..." I suggest you check it out, cause this is definatly the YEAR OF THE MATRIX!
p.s. Lindsey, could you possibly make a thread/board inside the MATRIX one that's strictly for Animatrix?! (i.e. Upcoming movies - The Matrix - Animatrix)

I'm not the biggest fan of "The Matrix" (D+), but I've a curiousity about "Reloaded" and "Revolutions." I just checked out "The Second Renaissance Part I"; not the most stunning piece of Anime this amatuer of the form has seen, but it's an interesting prelude to the universe. There may be hope for me yet...
