Whoa! I can't believe I stumbled onto this board. A friend told me to check out Jo's review of a film I did in '86 called, The Wraith, where I played this crazy dude, Skank. Pretty funny. It's cool people still watch it and give it the thrashing it deserves. I thought it was much more fun to make than to watch. :D

Dude, were you in that? Cool. I'm the one who brought it up in the "Trashy Movies" thread. I loved that movie.
I'm trying to remember Skank.
Just went on to IMDB and looked you up. I remember you!!!
The Wraith was the shit! Totally fun to watch.
Was Charlie already nailing everything in a skirt back then?
Hey, you were in Feds, too? What part? I liked that, too.

Sherilyn Fenn! Clint Howard! Charlie! Randy Quaid!
Enough exclamations now, but THE WRAITH is unabashedly 80's and loves it.
Tres Trashy, where else is a Turbo charged vehicle gonna mow down John Cassavettes' sons' wheels and leave him sprawled naked?

First, thanks for your reply. Second, in answer to your query, Charlie was a bashful waif back then. I knew him before from Malibu and he was still smitten w/ his high school sweetie. Wraith was filmed in Tuscon, AZ in Jan. '86. Griff O'neal and myself were watching the Challenger lift-off on TV in the Hilton Hotel restaurant during breakfast when it freaked out. Side note: Sherry Fenn was with a young Johnny Depp at the time. He was on set daily to make sure none of us got to close to his prize...and a prize she was. If you really liked that film and want to know more...Email, Mike Marvin, the director at: marvinski@aol.com...but don't tell him I tole ya...lol. Email "The Gutterboy @ jbizwah@yahoo.com. Cassavetes at: ema521@aol.com...Have fun with those posers...but if anyone asks...you talked to Clint Howard or Quaid!

I was a senior in high school when the challenger stuff went down. Watched it all live in Government class. So you guys only got a few years on me. I grew up in Tujunga, though, not Malibu, so I wouldn't have known you.
Too bad one of you couldn't have nabbed Sherilynn from Johnny. Can't stand him.

Welcome to the board, dude. Actually, I didn't write that review, but the Arrow did ( http://www.joblo.com/arrow/wraith.htm ). I will be moving this message into his PAST HORROR MOVIES forum, in which it will surely get more attention.

Thanks, My Brother from another Mother!
I, (Skank to Quaid "Unless you like Maurice better...heheheh." ) liked to drink brake fluid, hydro-pump and snort WD-40 in that film. (Actually was apple, grape juice and sometimes black coffee). I and some of the guys are looking for Wraith on DVD. Seems none is US of any quality. Only in UK and Aussie I hear. Any ideas?

This movie was badass. It was so friggin cool. It was cool as ice. I suggest you all to see it now. Randy Quaid is a god of some sort. He is great. Clint Howard and Charile Sheen are pretty entertaining also. Hot Shots with Sheen is fucking great. FUCKING GREAT.

Yeah welcome to the boards! David Sherrill right? That's very cool! I first saw This movie when I was seven, which was in 1989 and I loved every minute of it. I still remember being attracted to Sherilyn Fenn at that early age, even though I was probably too young to have any strong feelings toward women. This movie is one of my all time faves, because of the cool action, great soundtrack, quirky acting, pretty women and nice cars. Packard was such a weird character, but not quite as weird as Skank. I mean that in a good way. The spikey hair was fun, as was the motor oil consumption. Sheen was cool as well!!! PG-13 seemed like a gentle rating for this movie. Last time I rented it, there were more than a few breast shots(Fenn on the raft & some blonde woman), as well as some harsh violence, and maybe even a full frontal shot. Correct me if I'm wrong. I love pointing out those scenes in this awesome movie!!!

Greetings!
BANG! You got me...That is indeed me in that photo and yes I was also in FVIE ACES again w/ Sheen as was I in 1991's THE ROOKIE w/ Clint Eastwood. I also made a cameo in Sheen's Money Talks. Aside from being an actor I'm a huge movie fan and love other movie fans...Unless they are fans of shiot like Chicago or anything w/ Nicole Kidman or Drew Barrymore in it. I'm also not too crazy about Julianne Moore. Those chix have NO Elvis in them. Tidbit...Wraith director Mike Marvin has been attempting to get WRAITH II off the ground for a while...In this one, Packard and his gang return (ala The Wraith) from Hell to seek revenge on the entire town. Maybe we need a writing campaign. If you would like to see this film get made, Email Mike @ marvinski@aol.com and TELL HIM!
