Finally got to see this, and have to admit I wasn't expecting much.
What I got, however, was a top class piece of comedy horror!
One of the funniest things I have ever seen was when the potentially homosexual vampire chases the guy (Sorry, I'm shit with names - the professor's protégé guy) and he runs away, right round the square balcony over the courtyard, and runs right into the vampire again!
Fucking top class comedy - I wholeheartedly recommend.

I'm with you Scully1888, it's a top notch film.
Although I dont think there was any potentially about that vampire - he definitely was a homosexual! ;)

Check my avatar, This movie is awesome!! Cant praise it enough. Just a topnotch, unique, and etraordinary movie with so much personality. Ya gotta love Shaigel, the Jewish vampire. It's spooky, funny, and strange at the same time. I've never seen anything else like this at all. Professor Abronsius rocks!!!! and Count Von Krolock is my favorite vampire ever!! Gotta love the chemistry and interplay between Abronsius and Alfred. I love everything about this flick
I loved this film, too.
It had nice laughs, &, like the Hammer films, had great production values.
Sharon Tate was beautiful as ever.

Roman Polanski is a funny, off-kilter mofo who needs to do another comedy, since FVK was tops.
The design was like a Hammer film, the choreography of a Merchant Ivory film (that vampire dance!), the acting (Ferdy Mayne is lush as Count. Ian Quarry as the son.) befitting any comedy.
