I really enjoy cheesy horror flicks. The first movie in the SPM series I bought was SPM3 and it was decent (6.5/10). After seeing the preview for SPM2 on the dvd I was like "Holy %$#! That looks crazy! I gotta see!" So I bought it brand new for 5 bucks. After seeing the whole rockstar theme I figured I was in for some really good "Jack Frost" cheesiness. However I was dissapointed. The film just wasn't that crazy. The killer didn't have enough one liners or decent kills. It also seemed like the kills all happened in the span of 10 minutes and thus diminishing the suspense. The killer's dance crap was so pointless and I thought it was going to be a lot more hilarious. It could of have been great. (5.5/10)

I remember the ending being pretty F'ed, and some bizarro scene involving a burger... Hand, mabye? I dunno..

Its been years, but I remember LOVING it..

"C'mon, baby.. light my fiiiire~!"

was that even a quote from the movie...? Seems to me the killer said that at one point.. :\

This movie is great shit. The rock and roll killer is one of the biggest badasses ever. He is on the top 10 list of badasses. This movie is great cheese and it even stars the girl from wings. Which was a show I liked (yes yes i know, i suck) the ending was crazy and made no sense but thats why i liked it. Great shit.

From the trailer the rockstar looks like a badass and the movie looks crazy but there are only a few crazy moments in the movie. They didn't do enough with him and they didn't give him enough lines.

Yes, I am here to give my two cents. Firstly, when it comes to Slumber Party Massacre II, I've come to realize this film is an acquired taste. By most, it's either a "love it" or "hate it" type of thing.

To be honest, the first time I saw this flick (we're talking maybe 10 or 11 years ago, I was a youngin), I didn't think too much of it either. Sure, I liked it and all, but I didn't quite appreciate it for the huge hunk of genuine cinematic cheese it actually is.

One thing you have to give to this one is that the killer is definitely one of the most original villains in a horror movie EVER. I mean, come on. How many other slasher flicks out there can you name that actually contain an evil rocker, ripping holes into his victims by an enormous drill bit petruding from the neck of an electric guitar? That's right, NONE.

Second, the murders were pretty cool. True, not as original as the killer himself, but still cool. *!*!*!SPOILERS AHEAD!*!*! Some of the death scenes I thought really stood out was when valley girl, Sally, got it and the bloody drill comes through the phone as the remaining party-goers anxiously dial for help. Or how about Matt (Courtney's boyfriend), with the incredible effect of the drill coming out of his chest, topped off with his severed arm landing on the birthday cake?

Another thing I liked was this one didn't follow in one of the horror genre's most CLICHED techniques: cut phone line. These teenagers actually got through to the police, who come to find that the paranoid behavior of Courtney was being absorbed by her friends. Later, they dismiss them as making a prank call when they actually do need help.

I think I may have digressed away from my point here.

So, anyways, like I said, I didn't think this was the most genuine piece of filmmaking I had ever seen on my first go-round. For a short period of time, I actually considered this one to be the worst of the series. But after times of REPEATED viewings, I've learned to adore this one. Not only for the things I mentioned above, but this movie does contain actual ACTING. I dare anyone to say the performances here were bad and that Crystal Bernard didn't carry her own.

Wow, turned out to be a lot longer than I thought.

In conclusion, I just wanted to add one last thing to all of you who didn't think too much of Slumber Party Massacre II on your first few times. Keep watching it. It gets better over time.

P.S.,
Please don't count Cheerleader Massacre as part of theSPM series. It is anything but.
