Contender READY!?
Mr Turgidson, Grebdron...Get ready to battle for the luuuurvely Sadie's affections.
http://www.jude-law.net/gallery/jude-empire1299.jpg
From The Sun Newspaper
THE five-year marriage of Hollywood hunk Jude Law and wife Sadie Frost was OVER last night.
Jude, 30, and actress Sadie, 37, have both called in divorce lawyers.
A friend said: “This is her worst nightmare. Sadie does not want to get divorced but Jude is adamant. He has spoken to lawyers and told them to get the ball rolling.
“She is trying to keep things going but Jude doesn’t seem to be interested. He has been telling friends he is not doing Sadie any favours by sticking around.”
Jude, 30, was seen yesterday WITHOUT his wedding ring on.
He instructed his legal team at the weekend amid reports that he is close to Nicole Kidman, his co-star in the movie Cold Mountain.
Sadie ... she hoped to save marriage
The Sun told last week how Jude and Sadie, 37, are living separately. She is staying in their new £2million North London house with their three children.
Jude is at their old £1million house three roads away in Primrose Hill — even though it has been stripped of furniture.
The pal went on: “There have been meetings between Jude and Sadie but they have been for crisis talks rather than anything else.
“Jude desperately loves his children and wants to make a divorce as painless as possible for them.
“He called in divorce lawyers first and Sadie had no choice but follow suit. She is not happy. She is desperate to keep her family together. But Jude cannot see any way back — even though he feels terrible for the children.”
Road To Perdition star Jude and Nicole, 35, were seen drinking together at a Los Angeles strip club. He has denied any romance.
Dracula actress Sadie has been suffering post-natal depression and marked her wrists in what was said to have been a cry for help.
She and Jude have two sons — Rudy, five months and Rafferty, seven — and a daughter Iris, two. Sadie also has a son Finlay, 12, by first hubby Gary Kemp.
Jude and Sadie had blazing rows when Iris was rushed to hospital after eating an ecstasy tablet she found at a party.
Publicly, however, Dracula star Sadie has insisted the five-year marriage is fine.
Jude has instructed legal firm Charles Russells and Sadie has reacted by calling in Sears Tooth.
Sears Tooth’s Ray Tooth, a society divorce lawyer nicknamed Jaws, has represented a string of famous clients including Queen guitarist Brian May and Eric Clapton’s ex Patti Boyd.
Tooth, 57, earns more than £300,000 a year.
Jude has also instructed one of Britain’s top divorce firms.
Russells oversaw the divorces of Princess Diana’s parents Earl Spencer and Frances Shand-Kydd and Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles.
Sadie refused to comment on the divorce last night.
Oh well...so much for that bloody "Couple of the Year" nomination I made just recently. WHAT THE Bloody fuck is going on here??? I fear I'm going to lose all respect for bootylicious Jude...Please NO!!!!

I think Jude Law is an excellent actor, so I hope it doesn't affect his career in any way.. but whether he divorces his wife or not - I really don't care

Yeah, can't imagine why he'd want to stay w/ a beautiful, smart, gorgeous woman who's totally off the wall.
IF he's dumping her for Nicole Kidman...he's an utter fool.

Come to papa, Sadie.

How the bloody hell is Kidman a succubus Greb-knob...;)???
She hasn't had a shag in years has she!?
Jesus...I can understand why she'd fancy the arse off Law (most women would), it's Sadie that I feel bloody sorry for. She has been a one-woman baby factory for the past 10 years, and somehow she has managed to look gorgeous, run a successful business, and stay hopelessly devoted to her flirtatious Hubby.
Jude should be led through the streets of London and publicly berated...on a leash...naked...with me on his shoulders...;)
Okay, okay...I JEST, but if all this IS true, the bloke is a CLASS-A PRICK, and YEP, I'd still shag him (but I would feel dirty afterwards)...:D
PS: I do think he's a tosspot right now...HONEST!!!

Oh, and if Sadie reading this... I am legal ;) Uncle Notchie will take care of ya!

I apologise luv...
Okay folks, basically I am supporting "Sexy Sadie" (although judging by the amount of offers the foxy minx is getting, I doubt she needs ANY support), but Jude is welcome to pop (come) round to my gaff (house) any day of the week...Oh Judy baby, I hope you're not putting it about (cheating), it may break my aching heart...:(

I must agree with you here...and I'm quite down with these code names as well. "Sexy Sadie" does seem to be on the team I should be supporting, but, deep down, I know that if Jude were to come a-knockin' at my door (in 4 years...I don't want to be the cause of more problems for Mr. Law!) I don't think I'd turn the guy down.
...I mean...seriously...Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil...Whoa :D

I certainly don't like to hear news like this, but what can one say? It won't be effecting Jude making movies so that's good, but I do feel sorry for the children.

Aww..if this is true..I feel really bad for him and his family.
I wouldn't mind a little bit of Jude myself now that he's open for market ;)
And let met get this straight: Is the pending divorce due to an affair with Nicole Kidman? Or is it because of some private issues between Jude and Sadie?
But as others put it...it really doesn't matter how he conducts his private matters as long as he in movies and that's all I care about. Tee Hee.

Only you could say that Grebdron. I have to say that made me LOL.
I do feel sorry for Sadie. She is a beautifull lady and im sure its definetly going to be Judes loss in the end.
I hope to god he hasnt been playing away, but judging by gossips it doesnt look too good for him. Then again i do read a shite newspaper.:D
Anyway lets hope Sadie can hold her head high and come through this a tough, independant women with her self respect intact. She seems to be doing a good job up to now.:D :D
P.S. Im with the majority, Jude is one hot babe and of course i would shag his brains out if he wanted. Obviously i would have to get past some certain fellow schmoes.;)

What I find hilarious is that just last week, Jude was threatening to sue the pants off of the tabloids for "erroneously" reporting that their marriage was on the skids.

I have my doubts Nicole Kidman is somehow involved. If she was really hooked up with all the blokes the gossip mills claim she is, she'd never have any time left to do any acting. She's supposedly "romantically linked" with at least four people at this end of the planet, the most prevalent being Russell Crowe.
I'm really sorry to hear Jude and Sadie are splitting. If it's just the post-partum depression that's driving him away, he needs a good slap to knock some sense into him. Post-baby blues do clear up and go away, eventually. Silly boy.
And Greb...count yourself lucky. When my husband and I split, he maxed out my credit card and left me £2,000 in debt.

I too am dubious about this "affair"...
It does look like the end of the road for Jude & Sadie, but I have my doubts about Jude playing away.
Since when did buying a co-star a pair of bloody shoes constitute full-blown infidelity??? I think the tabloids are blowing a few things out of proportion ONCE AGAIN. Apparently Law sent Nicole a gorge pair of Manola Blahnik stiletto’s BEFORE he'd even began working with her...It sounds like a friendly gesture to me!!!
I could be wrong of course, but Nicole does get linked with every single bloke she is pictured/spotted with. It appears that the chick is shagging half of the continent at this very moment in time.

But why would a married man be sending an available woman a gift at all? I know my love would have trouble looking the other way were I to act in this manner.

Well, just another example to prove that so-called "perfect love stories" never last. Sad world we live in, huh?
Then again, the chap IS banging Nicole Kidman. You'd figure it could be worse. :p

I agree with you on this one Grebdron. Its not the done thing to be buying gifts for another woman. At first i thought "so what". Even the apparent card with "I Love You" on didnt really mean anything. I mean he could just have been saying "cant wait to work with you"(thats fine) "I Love You"(as in i think you are a great actress) Thats fine too.
But then you start to thinking. Shit hold on a minute. If he was so not doing anything wrong, why didnt he tell Sadie he had sent a gift to Nicole. Yes she has got PMT, but why make that any worse by giving signals to her that he was betraying her.
I just dont know.
I know if it was my husband, fuck i would kill him. He would be walking around with a pair of stilletos sticking out of his you know what for a long time.
Whatever happened Jude done wrong. If it was an innocent gift, he was wrong not to be truthfull.
I personally dont believe it was an innocent gift. Im very worried he has been naughty and is about to be humiliated.
Come to mommy Jude, i will hug you.:D :D

I, for one, don't feel bad for either of them. So they're getting a divorce. Big fucking deal. In a few months, I'll open up a tabloid and see both of em with new people in their lives and this will all be one 'unpleasant experience'.
Suddenly everyone's all "My heart goes out to them and their families." Bah.

Maybe Jude and Nicole are having an affair. Face it she is a woman in her thirties and he is a baby machine (4 Kids) he's obvioulsy good for it...whereas poor old Tom couldn't er...manage kids.

Sadie Frost has FOUR young children!!! She has allegedly attempted suicide, and she is undoubtedly suffering from post-natal depression. Her husband (a man whom she is obviously devoted to) could be cheating on her, her daughter swallowed half an ecstasy tablet only a few months ago (through no fault of her own)...by the looks of things the woman is practically FALLING APART.
I don't believe this is your average "cut & dry" divorce...I for one am very sympathetic towards Sadie. If Jude IS cheating...well, lets just say that I think he will lose a good few female admirer's. We're not quite as "fickle" as you blokes;). He was a devoted husband last month and most of us adored him for that...If he IS fucking other gals, I personally will lose a lot of the respect and admiration I have towards the dude...AND what's more, I believe plenty of other laydeez will too.

I've always thought suicide is a very selfish thing to do and I have no sympathy for people who attempt it or go through with it (despite the fact that two of my favorite singers - Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley went down that road)
and she is undoubtedly suffering from post-natal depression.
Post-natal depression affects 80% of new mothers. She suffers from it too? Not a shock
Her husband (a man whom she is obviously devoted to) could be cheating on her
That I do feel sorry for her about. Cheating on someone is sick, and if he did do it, he's an asshole.

One of my best and oldest friends committed suicide a few months back. Not a pleasant experience, and yes, I too think suicide is something selfish and cowardly. Still...with the shit some people see, when every second they live is painful, and they've lost all they have, how can you blame them? I'm not saying I'll ever commit suicide, but I understand most people who do, unfortunately.

I understand you think its selfish.
What i dont understand is you have no sympathy for anyone who attempts it. I personally cannot imagine being so low that i would want to kill myself. I dont know how anyone can be brave enough to hurt themselves. Im a bit of a shit when it comes to pain, and find anyone who tries to take their own life in need of a lot of sympathy. To committ suicide you have got to sit and think about it, how are you going to do it, where are you going to do it, which method would be the less painfull. Jesus i cant even begin to imagine how people think about that.
I read about that when it happened.. made me laugh
Im just curious as to what made you laugh.
A child swallowing part of an ecstasy tablet. Probabaly very lucky to be alive. A mother on her own, panics, basically shits herself. The worst thing she can think of in her life (something happening to one of her children) is becoming reality.
Maybe im a bit thick, but laugh, not me.
As for postnatal depression. Well all i can say is you obviously have'nt experienced it.

My last post was poorly worded. I meant I don't have any more sympathy for someone who commits suicide than I do for someone who dies any other way. Death is tragic, I know.
But I don't think it takes a brave person to hurt himself. Just someone in need of attention. And really selfish. The shit they make their families and friends go through, pisses me off.

I found it amusing because it was kind of an unintentional social commentary on how drug users are getting younger and younger. I know it was an accident, but nothing happened so... I thought it was funny.

Forgive me...but I believe that somebody who is attempting to end their own life is obviously unstable and utterly miserable. I can't say that I would ever want to feel quite so low...depression is a fucking ILLNESS. If YOU felt wretched to the point where you were slitting your own wrists, would you want some fucker standing beside you making judgements??? Besides, I'm quite sure that the vast majority of people in this situation feel extremely selfish...and guilty.
Post-natal depression affects 80% of new mothers. She suffers from it too? Not a shock
Do you even realise what you are saying??? They all get it...don't feel sorry for her...!!! Eh!? Post-natal depression affects many people in different ways. Sadie's case is supposed to be somewhat severe (the newspaper's today tell us that she has been re-admitted). The woman has just given birth to her fourth child, she has never "complained" before, this birth has obviously taken it's toll.
That I do feel sorry for her about. Cheating on someone is sick, and if he did do it, he's an asshole.
Jesus...You have a heart:)!?
I read about that when it happened.. made me laugh
Her young child could have died, the woman was distraught...and you laughed.
I'm not even going to comment on that remark...:(

Fine, that is your opinion...but let's get things into perspective.
This break-up...it isn't J.Lo and her latest shag, it isn't Jolie & Billy Bob, it isn't even close to that. They were a GREAT couple, and they obviously LOVED each other dearly...and you know what!? It REALLY is a shame...

The only two people who knew whether they loved each other are Sadie Frost and Jude Law. And THAT is a fact. No matter how they appeared in public and how you saw them.. what goes on between them cannot be known by anyone else. I would consider it along the lines of JLo and Jolie's marriages. No difference to me.

In all seriousness, I did find this breakup rather surprising. Couples are dropping like flies- but I always thought that Jude and Sadie had staying power.
Best of luck to both of them, either way. Can't be easy.
And for Valentine's Day this year- I'd much prefer a pair of shoes to a measly card.

That quote/unquote malarkey is a pisser, you're right about that;)...
Okay, maybe we don't TRULY know whether they actually loved each other...but they have been together SEVERAL years, married at least 5....and they have 3 children together (Sadie also has one child to Gary Kemp of "Spandau Ballet" fame, and their divorce was completely mutual.) Jude & Sadie have always appeared to be the picture of happiness...and I actually believe that at one time, they were absolutely DEVOTED to one another.
Maybe I'm romanticising...but they WERE different IMO. It was REAL, and maybe it still is...I don't know.
Ooooooh I've gone all slushy and romantic...
Fuck it.
