You guys, they have been showing the trailer in the theaters for a while now. Well, the last couple of times I saw the trailer was when I watched LOTR:TTT. I think it was because the connection between Ian McKellen and the two movies.

Anyway, the movie looks tight, and I'm anticipating it as well. I even know what its about!! I read the script like a few months ago and posted it on this site under the X2 forum. Don't read it, it's filled with MAD spoilers! Oh yea, I was under Monster.

This will be a new trailer, not the one attached to LOTR. I remember AICN reporting on this. One bit I remember from the report is this bit of dialouge...

SWEET!!! There was a trade-off right? That Mystique shape shifted her self to look like him to take his place... right?

Hmm... Have both Magneto and Professor X agree to work with each other? Are they now a team? Because from what I read, Cyclopes and a few other mutants goes ahead and tries to help Magneto escape, while Storm and a bunch of mutants goes and looks for Nightcrawler and his gang of Mutant Revolts, and that Wolverine and the students stay back and protect the school from Stryker's team that's infiltrating the Mansion... But according to the new Trailer, it seems that Magneto formed a little group of his own.

Anyway... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Anyone interested in X-Men2 should check out the X-Men 1.5 DVD that hits stores today (2-11-03). There is a six minute behind the scenes look at X2. Plus there are a crap load of special features and deleted stuff. Anyone who likes X-Men would be foolish not to pick it up.

Im definately interested in X-Men 1.5. But im kinda waiting for Rules Of Attraction as well. Damn it. I hopefully get enough to buy both.

Ok, maybe not the Sentinels just yet (which rules out Apocalypse as well.....Damn it! :mad: )

But i think they should make one movie (hopefully the third installment) dedicated for Mr. Sinister.
Think of it: the meanest baddie out there with his super fucking cool Nasty Boys. It can also be the first time characters like:
-Gambit come in (there is some connection between Mr. S and him)
-Morph (Good and Evil) (who is one cool muthafacka and who becomes evil coz of Mr. S)

and it can also keep Magneto (coz Mr. S tried to drain his power) and so on.

That would by far be the best thing Singer could do to his X-Men franchise.

Saw it this morning and the movie looks like a fuckin' blast. The intro of PART 1 is now moving into a much cooler premise, with all kinds of kickin' and ass being tossed around for everyone. The trailer presents each of the X-MEN, one by one, and shows all kinds of wickedness thereafter. The action scenes looked quite spectacular and there was plenty of CGI fun for everyone.

Honestly...great trailer!!

PS: DAREDEVIL was also great...8/10.

I got the X-Men 1.5 DVD and it's pretty good. I watched the entire second disc, and there's a load of extra crap. There's a little extended trailer for X2 also. It's like the first one, with a couple of shots added in. Everything was going great., but then all hell broke loose. I was watching the first Hugh Jackman test reading, and there were a couple of "skips" in the DVD, so I wanted to play the film, and make sure everything was ok. So I put in disc 1, and the damn thing wouldn't even play!! I was pretty pissed. I have to go exchange it today. At least I got to check out the special features. The trailer was cool though. I wonder if this is the one showing on Daredevil?

And did anyone know there was supposed to be a whole Storm backstory in the first film where she destroyed her African village as a child? This was supposed to appear right after the scene at the beginning at Auchwitzch (sp?) with Magneto and his folks. That sounds cool as hell to me. Damn budget!!!

Actually, they were going to show all of the X-Men, and from what I remembered reading, Cyclopes was supposed to have his little mutant burst or whatever during Prom... Now that would've been sweet! I never heard of Storm's little backstory, and.. DUDE, would've been cool on screen!

Yeah Cyclops' story was that he was smoking with his buddie in school one time in the toilets and all of a sudden his eyes started hurting and stinging and thats how he realised about his powers.

Storm controlled the wind in her African village and destroyed it as a kid.

Pretty cool shit, but they only showed Magneto, Rogue and Wolverine. Still cool though.

There's a trailer premise over at Comics2film.com i only read a couple parts but sounds very cool. I remember when the first X-men trailer came out, i happenend to be at my local music Warehouse place in Portland, Oregon, and they had tons of people there asking to take a survey, so i did, and got to watch the X-men trailer before it went public, i told them it was very cool, and definalty sounds interesting. Of course i told them more, but it was cool being one of the first to survery it, and see it.

I just saw Daredevil, like an hour ago, and THEY SHOWED THE SAME TRAILOR OF THE X-MEN FOR LOTR!!!

I don't know what's up, I was like waiting impatiently during the whole preview part before the movie, and when they finally showed the X-MEN trailor, it was the same ASS THING I SAW BEFORE!! I went to go see the friggen movie (like a night before the premiere) just to fuckin see the new X2 trailor, but NO AVIAIL, THEY DIDN'T SHOW IT!!

My friends were telling me that they're probably going to show it in the later showings of DAREDEVIL, but hell, I don't want to go and pay $7 (which isn't a lot here in hawaii) just to see the fuckin trailor!

It got my hopes up and shit!! So instead, first thing tomorrow, I'm going to stop by blockbuster and check X-MEN 1.5 dvd. Hell, I'm pissed! And the movie wasn't great either! (some parts.. heh.. no, it was good, not too good, but.. pretty poetic).

This new trailer was amazing! I saw DD last night, and this was pitch perfect, MUCH better than the lackluster trailer attached to LOTR. This was almost a COOL overload.... ;). I need to view it in slow-mo to catch everything, but there was a lot of cool shots. Overall, I was blown away, and I can't wait for 5/2.

P.S. The cat thing was hilarious. :D

It appears your theatre's print of "Daredevil" did not have the new "X2" trailer attached to it. The "cat thing" was at the very end. Wolverine looks nervous and he suddenly shoots his claws out, but we see he did it for the cat, who start licking the claws, maybe Wolvie gets a pet in this one? Question: Did the trailer you see start with Bobby freezing his mother's coffee?

Also, the "showing off" thing was a bit different from what was originally reported, it goes like this....

Xavier: Next time you feel like showing off....
A shot of Pyro making a car blow up.
Xavier: ...... Don't.

Another awesome moment, with Magneto is....

Some guy(He must be a new character): They say you're a bad guy!
We cut to Magneto in his plastic prison. He is holding up a guard by a filling, and Magneto twists his hands a bit, and the guard squeaks in pain. It looks like Magneto is breaking his jaw. We then cut back to the discussion between the new character and Magneto.

I own "X-Men 1.5". The trailer on the disc is not the one attached to "Daredevil", it is the one shown at the San Diego Comic Convention.

The X2 trailer in front of Daredevil is freaking awesome, and it is NOT the same one on the X-men 1.5 DVD. I like how it starts with Bobby's family, and you really don't sense that it is the X2 trailer, and his mom says something like, "Can't you try harder not to be a mutant. And then the trailer really starts to kick ass. And Daredevil was great. Not counting the LOTR films, it's the best movie I've seen in a couple of years perhaps. I love how it had a dark, gritty feel to it. It was much better than Spider-Man, but X2 definitely looks like it might give Daredevil a run for its money. But right now, it's probably my favorite comic book adaption, yeah, probably better than the first Batman, and barely eeking out X-Men. I too can't wait for 5-2-03.

Yeah seeing Daredevil was awesome for me cause the movie was a 10/10 and I saw the new X2 trailer and it was GREAT! I really can't wait for the movie. It looks way better than the first one (7/10). This will probably be a nomination for Best Trailer in next year's Golden Schmoes.:D

It has been years since I've read the comic so could someone please refresh my memory regarding Deathstrike? I don't have any recollection of her at all.

He's not really a comic relief like a character like, that fat guy from Daredevil. He's more like a smart ass! And it's almost like his character in the comic book, he's serious but in a way, cynical.

About Deathstrike, have you seen the cartoon? They had like a couple of episodes of her leading up to the Phoenix Saga. I have never really read the comic books, so I'm basing my facts on the cartoon.

Anyway, THIS MAY BE A POSSIBLE SPOILER since it is basically Deathstrike's bio and the movie is pretty much trying to keep it a secret leading up to some kind of surprise on who she is, and why she's doing what she's doing.

Her name is originally Yuriko Darkwind, and her name isn't really Deathstrike, it's.. hehheh, LADY Deathstrike. However, in the movie, it's Anne something, something white. Anyway, Deathstrike's association with the movie is that her father was the guy who developed the process that gave Wolverine his adamantium-bonded skeleton and claws. At the end of X1, he goes ahead to Canada to find out what happened to him, about his past, and that's when I guess he finds out about Deathstrike. She blames him for the death of her father so what she does is insert a little adamantium in herself and take out her little vendetta out on Wolverine. In the movie, she's Stryker's, who's played by Brian Cox (I think that was his name), little weapon against the only, Weapon X.

In the cartoon however, both her and Wolverine were once lovers, so I wonder how they're going to play it out. Since I guess he lost his memory, he may have totally forgotten about her. DRAMA!!! Probably her against JEAN!! Anyway, in the comics, she's actually part Cyborg because another mutant named Spiral turned her into one. But in the cartoon, there was no mention about it. But if you look at her arms, there are actually circuits. Oh yea, in the cartoon and comics, her whole hand and part of her arms are nothing but adamantium, and her fingers are claws, not her only nails. Honestly, I liked what they did with Deathstrike for the movie, and Kelly Hu totally embodies her.
