Hey everyone. I just picked up the Omen boxset and sat through all 4 films...I haven't seen the Omen discussed here too much so I thought I'd get some opinions form everyone.
Personally, I thought the first one was great...good suspense, good deaths and gore, good ending. Quality wise they rank as they come I guess. I liked part 2 but it definitley didn't match it's originator. Loved that elevator death tho...same with part 3...liked the story, loved the early gunshot death but still missing the intesity of the original.
However, I didn't even know there was a part 4 until I got the box set. Holy shit was it bad. First of all, how can 1 movie have 2 directors to begin with, especially when one is that moron who ruined Halloween 5. It really had that made for tv feel about it, then I found out it was infact made for tv...I guess for Cinemax or something....no gore, no blood, horrible acting and completely idiotic ending.
Still, love the first one and 2 and 3 can be fun as well. Opinions?
