Superstion(1981?) (aka the witch)Anybody ever seen this? I rented it with the lowest expectations and came out plesantly suprised. Its about a house where a witch wrecked havock in the 1700's and was put to death only to become more powerful and kill anyone who came to the house/area. Things go to hell when instead of letting a construction compay bulldose it the church lets one of their minister's family live there. Has some pretty cool gore, good atmosphere, and one awsome death with a circular saw.
Mortuary(1980) cheese, cheese and more cheese. ** just for the cheese factor on this one. Can you say roller disco. Also has a young Bill Paxton rocking the house. Worth a rental just to see him.
Anybody see these? Any questions/pans/ comments?

I taped SUPERSTITION off of TV since no stores happen to have it, and I was impressed with it.
Dig the hetero priest checking the girls out, dig the renegade circular saw.
What I liked is the NO ONE survived that freakin witch! She was relentless. The way she tossed the pastors wife around was brutal. It reminded me of AMITYVILLE 2, but with better characters.

As for MORTUARY, I really want to see this because I am a huge Paxton fan, and hear so many things about the great skipping scene he is in. Plus, Chris George is in it, and I liked him in GATES OF HELL.

Superstition was really cool, a consider this flick as a slasher.
There is a review of it in Hysteria ( now u know the adress I suppose )
I like it because of the high bodycount and the way they die ( the priest's death was cool !!! )
Mortuary was a average slasher, the end was really stupid !!!! ****************** SPOILER ************** SPOILER ********** the supposed dead mother wakes up and stabbs the hero !! stupid !!!!

Superstition sounds cool. I like the fact that there were no survivors. We rarely, if ever, get to see the evil forces win and thats just the sort of movie I'm looking for. If I ever came across it I would check it out. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
