View Full Version : The Fast and the Furious: Tricked Out Edition
This is from DVD File:
In other re-release news, Universal Studios Home Entertainment also bow the new The Fast and the Furious Tricked Out Edition in June, also just in time for its own big budget sequel, the ridiculously titled 2 Fast and 2 Furious. Watch this space for further details.
I've been meaning to buy the DVD for The Fast & The Furious, but now maybe I'll just wait for the stupidly titled "tricked out" edition.

I'm not sure what's a worse title: 2 Fast 2 Furious, The "Tricked Out" edition, or Terminator 2: Extreme Edition?

Great news, I don't own the first disc and I will likely buy this version...
Yeah, I also think the title for the sequel is stupid (2 Fast 2 Furious). They should just call it The Fast & The Furious 2. And now they are coming out with a stupidly titled new DVD release of the first one. Man, what's with all of these bad titles? I also hate the title for the next Spider-Man movie, The Amazing Spiderman sounds so lame.

I think calling it 2 Fast 2 Furious is way better than calling it Fast & Furious 2...but that's just me. Amazing Spiderman also sounds fine...Spiderman 2 would sound retarded.

I like that title considering it is the title of the comic book.

I know it's the title of the comic book, but I still think it really SUCKS. It sounds so lame and cheesy. They don't have to call it Spider-Man 2, but they sure as hell can think of something better than The Amazing Spider-Man.

Ugh, an un-needed edition...it'll be just a DVD cover with the colors you would find on the cars in the movie with the same DVD disk that got released last year.

A little bit off topic, but I'll go along, relating back into the topic of this post and say the inevitable fourth and fifth in the series could be The Ultimate Spider-Man and The Extreme Spider-Man. Maybe the sixth will be called The Super-Final-Directors-Cut-to-end-all-Directors-Cuts-Two-Disk-Craptacular Spider-Man...

I do like 2 Fast 2 Furious better than The Fast and the Furious 2 in that it is kind of gimmicky and not a standard sequel title, it makes it more interesting. But they could have gone with something better, something like The Faster and the Furiouser, or just Faster and Furiouser. Of course, that makes them face the problem that "Furiouser" isn't a real word, so they would have to use The Faster and the More Furious. That doesn't sound very good, because the two "F's" don't match that way. They would have to go with The More Fast and the More Furious, which just sounds crappy. 2 Fast 2 Furious it is...

What a scam!
Ooh, a "new" short starring Paul Walker! Where do I sign up???
Anyone dumb enough to buy this disk deserves what they get.
And WTF does "tricked out" mean, anyway? You're "tricked out" of your money if you buy this lame-ass DVD???

Of course, you realize that the reason they put the "DVD Exclusive" that "Reveals What Happened After the Final Fade-Out of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS", which probably deals with Vin Diesel's character, on this edition and not the other one is because when the DVD came out they didn't know Vin wouldn't be in the sequel, so they left it open, but now they have to explain it to tie up the loose end.
Some people might even be tricked (or should I say "tricked out") into thinking this feature is additional footage, when it is probably just the director discussing it, or even just a text screen.

Well they are not dumb if they don't already have the original DVD's. But these specail addition DVD's are starting to piss me off. They really are just trying to rob as much money from people as they can.
