Apparently there will be a 4 disc set coming out later this year of DMB's 3 night run at the Gorge in Washington state. The Gorge has always been the highlight of the band's summer tours and said to have held some of their best shows. I'm obsessed with DMB so I may be the only one who cares but I am extremely excited right now!!

This is some great fucking news to wake up to. I knew this was coming out but didnt know when. Later this year works for me. DMB always plays great sets at The Gorge, and this Box Set will, without a doubt, be simply amazing. Too bad we dont get an estimated price on how much the set will run. I dont fucking care, anyways...I'll pay anything for this.

DMB may be one of the worst bands of the 20th century. If I want melodic music Ill take U2 or Ozzy anyday.

If it was anybody else, other than you, that said that, I might get mad.

If you knew anything about good music you might think differently.

i pose the same question to you. Nothing in their music is energetic (in a good sense) or melodic (in a good sense)

You are basing everything on the few studio songs that you have heard on the radio. Have you ever been to a dmb live show? No, you have not. What they release as singles to be played on the radio are geared towards getting non-fans into the music. If you ask any dmb what the best part of the music is they will say, without hesitation, the energy and the rhythm.

This is fabulous news, glad to hear it!
The Delfonics--I understand your tastes changing, as DMB is not for everyone. Although, I do suggest you not be too harsh. One of the worst bands of the 20th century? That's pushing it. I'm not the best person to say this, since I don't know your tastes, but I think there is at least one Dave song that suits nearly every sort of taste.
