Okay, this is going to sound like a really weird question, but please bare with me.
There is a scene in PROM NIGHT III where Alex is in a classroom and Mary Lou appears in a filmstrip the teacher is showing the students. She looks directly into the camera and speaks right to him. He looks around the room and the rest of the students are in a daze. Soon after they start chanting something over and over. Does anyone know what the hell they're saying?? It sounds like "rubarb, rubarb, rubarb..."
Help! This has been bugging me since FOREVER!

Yeah! Let's make fun of someone because they watched a movie we don't like. Sounds like fun! Yeah!
Seriously though. I wish I could help you out with your query but I can't. See, after being bored to tears by the original Prom Night, I haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of the sequels. Though I will venture into that dark territory sometime.

I'd highly recommend watching your mouth, Ninja. If your implication that "gay" means a bad thing, then you have more problems than my movie tastes.

Yeah Ninja just cool out and read the rules around here. As for RogueSpear I highly suggest that you check out Prom Night 2. I was also endlessly bored with the original but thankfully the sequel is nothing like that and it doesn't get as cheesy as part 3 did. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

i was so letdown by this one man,i bought it off ebay expecting a solid one,but didnt know its dark comedy, which shouldnt be considered comedic in any shape or form....it was absolutely horrible...i know it doesnt have much to do with your question, but i suggest watching part 4 for more of a solid sequel installment.

I liked it a lot too. I thought the killings were very clever and original. And Mary Lou had some pretty good one-liners...

i'll give this one another try and shot, and see if i can see what they are saying and see if my opinion will change, worst comes to worst, atleast that T&A scene with Mary Lou can make up for some of the films flaw....

I agree with you that part 3 and 1 are really bad...but the second part is still as bad as both of them, if not worse.
And to think that i actually bought that thing (the second part)...but that was till i got rid of it
Anyways, it's just my opinion

Yeah, I believe they are saying "Rubarb." I've heard directors have actors in the background of a scene repeat peas and carrots when they don't have any dialogue to make it sound like they are talking to one another. My take on it is that PN3 was making an inside joke. I could be wrong, but hope this helps in some way.

I figured that's what they were saying, it just seemed so bizarre to me.
