Very cool movie, love that key part, it was Soavi's first if I am not mistaken. The owl mask just didn't do it for me but it was a nice idea. I like cemetary man and The Sect better.

I still haven't seen Stagefright (blasphemy, I know), but it's on my chopping list. Soavi is a stylish, innovative director that must return to the genre pronto! Cemetery Man is a surreal, mind-bending masterpiece. The Church was only mediocre, but at least the warped visuals were present. The guy undeniably has a penchant for pristine, yet haunting imagery. Where in the hell has he been for the past seven years??????

I also own this great atmospheric and very stylish giallo/slasher from the too rare Soavi ( he works for the italian television )
The last 30 minutes is a cat and mouse situation but it is still great and very thrilling.
The music is also very good and uncanny.
The acting is pretty good, too.
I like Brandon something ( the boss )

YES! I love this movie, and it is fairly cheap on DVD also (at least at Best Buy). Great action, gore and suspense...the music is undoubtedly very '80s, though. No problem; I'm an '80s child anyway.

I had the chance to buy this movie but passed it up because it looked cheesy and I was looking for something serious. Now I am kicking myself for it because I have heard much talk and it sounds cool but now I can't find it again. I was in the same predicament with Basket Case, but luckily I was finally able to get a hold of that film. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Yeah, Stagefright isn't tongue-in-cheek. It's played straight, which actually works against the film in some areas. Still, it's a solid slasher that deserves your money.

Again it is a really great slasher from the too rare Michele Soavi.
He works for the italian television and he only directs made for tv films now.
