I Just Saw TCM: The Next Generation, worst movie ever (0/10)

TCM 5 is honestly the worst movie I've ever seen. It has complete ruined the otherwise great TCM franchise. This movie was worse then Leprechaun, Hellraiser 3, Pumpkinhead 2: Blood wings, all movies that I hate. The acting was weak, the characters were lousy, the script was terrible, the story made no sense, the dialouge was stupid, it had no redeemable qualities. The characters personalites were all mixed up, it continualy switched from being a sequal to being a remake. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a worse movie. My advice: Don't buy it, don't rent it, try and forget it exists.

i agree completly. while i think that the first was the only really good one of the series, the next generation was the dumbest sequel ever.

This was actually the first TCM flick that I saw. Of course, I was perplexed throughout most of it. I thought that maybe my confusion was due to the fact that I hadn't seen the first three films yet, but that wasn't the case! The plot truly is a jumbled mess.

The ending with the weird guy was awful, I have no idea what Henkel was thinking there.
But aside from that, I consider this movie a guilty pleasure!
I kinda like it. The new "family" has a truly insane vibe, I liked the new sissyfied Leatherface, and sue me but I thought Matthew McC. was good!
Think of it as the "Bride Of Chucky" of the series. I think this is much better than the routine ultra-80`s Part 3. You have to admit, at the very least, the family in "Next Generation" is at least better than the laughable family from Part 3.

Thankfully, I saw the movie on Starz or something before renting it and I must agree, it's a piece of pure shit. The one part I laughed at though was when that guy's getting chased by Matthew McC (who's trying to kill him) and then he stops to catch his breath. What a shitbag.

Personally, I didn't understand it the first time I saw it. I'm from Texas, so whan I turned on the T.V., and saw Renee Zellweger, I thought the title was a suggestion. After about four minutes of this "movie", I had to shut the T.V. off. And, I'm the guy who collects movies like Bloody Murder, and Frightmare for repeated viewings. Ouch.

Well, they were pretty much unknown at the time. I'm sure they regret it big time today. I think I've heard somewhere, maybe even here, that McConaughey was pretty dickish when being reminded of this role.

Respect. And I rented out TCM:TNG a couple of months ago, watched it start to finish with my friend and neither of us said the word.
Then after the end credits, my friend summed it all up.

You guys may not agree with me, but i thought that was the worst version of Leatherface i had ever seen. His mask of flesh was too new looking, and smooth, and he freakin crossed-dressed! I considered it a slap in the face of Gunner Hanson, the original Leatherface.

Yep, definately one of the worst ever. I'd give it a 1/10 just for McConaughey's crazed performance. The rest was pure crap. A confusing plot (a slasher film being confusing! something's verrry wrong), a horrible Leatherface (what's with the crossdressing), a stupefying ending, and a complete bore!!
