This is from Empire Movies (http://www.empiremovies.com) :
Dimension/Miramax Films has signed Charlie Sheen to a two-picture deal, beginning with a star turn in the third installment of the Gotham-based distrib's "Scary Movie" franchise.
Sheen's next film under the pact will come shortly after anticipated fourth-quarter release of "Scary Movie 3". The second project will be released under the Miramax banner.
The film and TV thesp is no stranger to parody pics. Sheen toplined as Lt. Topper Harley in the Jim Abrahams-directed lowbrow laffers "Hot Shots" and "Hot Shots: Part Deux", and also appeared in the 1993 parody "Loaded Weapon I".
"Scary Movie 3", to be helmed by David Zucker ("Airplane!", "Naked Gun"), will follow in the footsteps of its two predecessors in parodying horror pics, recent blockbusters and pop culture as a whole.
What does everyone else think about this? I've seen him on Spin City but he doesn't really interest me that much...
