Sounds kick ass...maybe Fox will listen to to you and you could be in charge of the production of the DVD ;) . Anyways, I saw DD today too and it severely kick ass...the best comic book movie since Batman Returns. Hope the DVD kicks.

Didn't the director say in an interview that he would definitely release PG-13 and R versions? If this is true then they would be released seperately, not on the same disc. (What if someone wants to buy the PG-13 version, but isn't allowed to watch R films? He wouldn't be able to buy it at all, and they would lose money.)

I'm confused, does Jennifer Garner die then?

I'm not a follower of the comics, but is she a permanent character,or does she carry on???

Well, first of all, they would PUT SPOILER WARNINGS BEFORE POSTING.

To answer your question

*************SPOILERS**********

In the comics, to my knowledge, she ends up living but denies it. So she ends up being a deadly hitwoman.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Elektra does not die. She lives and I have two sources that prove this:

1. Mark Steven Johnson said that this was an origin story for Elektra and that he wants to see her again.
2. She becomes a deadly assasin.

Cheers for the info though.

Is anyone a follower of the comics? Are there any really good enemies then?

I wonder what will be in the Rated R version- More Violence? More sex? More Brutal fight scenes? We will see hopefully by October or November

So long as the R-Rated version was cut better than the PG-13 (no holes in plot, or I swear...), I'm first in line...for a rental. I already paid too much for the tickets; I'm not gonna blow another $25 if I'm just getting a re-hash of the crap I already saw.

Well if you think the movie is crap, then why would you wanna waste money on a DVD of it?

I just read on Dark Horizons today about a cut storyline involving Matt trying to prove that convict Duane (played by Coolio) is innocent. It also says that the R-rated cut plays like a different movie because several important scenes involving the major characters were cut, and will be restored for the DVD. The director's cut is reportedly over 15 minutes longer than the original version.

Now that I think about it, in the very first teaser trailer, you actually get a glimpse of Coolio's character. Just something I noticed.

I think Coolio's character was in the cafe wasn't he in the original film? I'm sure i've seen him in it somewhere but definitely not in the trailer.

Come to think of it 15 mins extra footage isn't that much. Compare that to Aliens which gave you 15 mins or LOTR:FOTR which gave you loads more.

Does anyone think that Jennifer Garner looks a lot beefier than in Alias in this movie? Or is it just camera trickery with makeup?

Just rread this but is a major spoiler!

http://www.teletext.co.uk/BigScreen/newsstory.asp?intSubSectionID=7&intarticleid=73656 says that Jennifer Garner was killed off in the movie, unless Teletext have got this wrong. Dead exciting to hear that Jennifer Garner is getting her own movie!!!
