Possible Indiana Jones DVD Coer Art!!!

Sunday morning the image you can see below popped up online. It came from a Danish DVD store/website and is apparently from a 2003 Paramount retailer catalog. Now, we're not saying that it's absolutely real, but the covers do match the packaging style that Paramount used for the most recent Young Indiana Jones and Indian Jones video releases.

That packaging clearly labeled each installment with an episode, so people could tell what order they took place in. With Lucasfilm currently prepping a big release of Young Indy on DVD, it makes perfect sense for Paramount to use the same packaging design for the DVDs.

Here's the scan, and we'll keep you posted on the developing situation with Indy on DVD.

Well, just seeing that brightened my day, but I hope the DVDs don't come in those boneheaded "chapter" dealies that put Temple of Doom before Raiders of the Lost Ark. Even if it is a prequel, Raiders still came first.

Great news! I think temple of doom and last crusade look fine but Raiders really bugs me for some reason....I think they coulda fixed that one. But still, this gives us hope:D

They look like the VHS versions and if you notice they have the chapter numbers on the covers. Does this mean Young Indy will appear on DVD? I hope so. I can't wait for these. Nice covers too.

IGN recently posted that these covers are not real. They said a paramont represenative stated paramount never seen those covers until the net posted them.

Not to fear, the cover art will change but according to DavisDvd.com the advertisement is genuine.

You've no doubt seen the Indiana Jones Trilogy advertisement which has been around the 'net. What I do know is that the scan is indeed genuine and originated from a European retailer. The cover artwork is temporary (good thing too, because they've blown up the poster art) and don't get me started on that whole "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" nonsense. But at least the chapter numbering implies that the Young Indy DVD sets aren't too far off. What I can tell you is that the rumored street date for the Indy DVDs is November 14th. Now whether the films come as a box set, or as individual discs is still up in the air. But definitely expect to see some stellar special editions this November!
