Hey, I have a question. I was just thinking about this the other day, but is the title of House 2 a pun? It's called House 2: The Second Story. Get it? Second tale? Second storey of a building? I don't know, maybe I'm looking into this too much, I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer.

On a related topic, is this movie any good? I saw the first one, and I thought it was okay. However, I've heard bad things about the second one. It seems more like a comedy than a horror movie, and that can be a good thing, IF DONE RIGHT. Also, it seems to have quite a decent cast. Anyway, that's about it.

This is my ultimate Im ashamed of liking it but its so good movie. The creature efeects are good for the time and the story line sucks me in, in some cheesy childhood story type way. Oh and Second story is a clever play on words.

Indeed, I can't remember much about this film save that I liked it. The first is great fun as well.

the first two houses are the only ones worth watching. 3 and 4 really bite the big one. I can't remember much about this one, but i know i enjoyed it.

I found this sequel rather boring. I thought it lacked the charm that made the first one so fun to watch. It seems like its rated G. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I just finished watching it tonight, and I don't understand why this movie gets so many bad marks (anyone remember the scathing reference in Scream 2?); I thought it was just as entertaining as the original. How can you dislike a genre flick with Bill Maher? So this is what he did before Politically Incorrect; I couldn't believe it when I saw his name in the opening credits. It also has a heartfelt performance from the late Royal Dano as the protagonist's mummified great-great grandfather. I liked that cute baby pterodacyal, and that Aztec babe was sure hot!

House II feels more like a wacked-out fairy tale than a straight horror movie. It's really fun in a goofy sort of way, and I wish I had seen it when I was a kid, because I sure would have enjoyed it! :)

6/10.

I liked it slightly better than the first HOUSE which I hated, but I wouldn't call it a good movie.

Some very cool creatures in this movie. Yes it`s cheesy, but I kinda liked it. NOT a horror movie.

Great movie. The undead villain cowboy (can't remember his name) kicked ass. Mcfarlane toys should come out with an action figure of him and the undead villain soldier from House 1 in the next movie maniacs series.

Does any one know if House 1 and 2 are available on dvd?

The first one is readily available, but the second was only given a limited reissue with certain copies of the original. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Allright Cyclonus Ill correct you dude.

Parts one and two had a limited release on DVD, they were packaged together on the same disc. So kudos to those of you who got both films for the price of one!

But now they are out again on DVD and sold separetly.

I love part one for its creepy Twilight Zone film, and part two for its childlike fairy tale feel to it. Plus that skull cowboy bad guy was soo cool. Along with his rotting horse. I guess that could be the only reason why this film could be considered horror. Because the rest of the movie is just adventure and good spirited fun, and that aint all that bad.

Don't get me wrong, I love movies that are terrible. Horror movies that aren't supposed to be taken seriously. But there is a border between so bad it's good, and so bad that you have no idea why anyone would agree to be a part of the movie. Apparently most of you have different opinions, maybe I wasn't in the right state of mind when I originally saw it, but House II is one of the worst horror movies I have ever seen.
